A witness at the clinic described him as 'hunched over and flushed'

Ebola test results are due back Friday evening

The deputy was inside the apartment where Ebola patient Thomas Duncan fell ill - the officer wasn't wearing protective clothing

The CDC said the person is not one of the 48 contacts being monitored

Liberian national Mr Duncan, 42, died from Ebola on Wednesday morning

CDC officials have told Monnig's family there was 'no risk' he had been exposed to the disease

“Mr. Monnig’s condition is good with no fever, no vomiting, no diarrhea reported. His current condition is NOT consistent with an early stage ebola diagnosis. Texas Health Dallas’ standard laboratory testing indicates all findings are within normal ranges. Further lab testing specimens have been received in Austin and results are expected later today,” the hospital told News 8 Thursday around noon.

I think the Deputy is only going through the early stages. Just like Duncan when he got on the plane.

I have not read of other confirmed cases where symptoms faded before coming back. Have you?

Humans spread bodily fluids a lot more than we tend to think (sneezing, moisture onto surfaces, sweat onto clothing, ... touching lots of stuff second-to-second). The range may not be far, but it’s not trivial - and the disease is extremely virulent once a tiny amount manages to touch you. Spending any time in an infectee’s home has distressing odds of you touching something he touched and left a still-viable virus on. With a 0.06 micron size (IIRC), won’t take much of an entry point on your skin to infect.

However, this Ebola is measured at .08 microns in size.

So you may not get the bodily fluid, but YOU WILL GET the Ebola.

I haven't.  Your comments address what I hope is the case.  I don't want to see anyone come down with this, even if they act in their own/and the community at large's worst interest.

Use your head folks.  These containment methods were developed for a reason.  Infecting yourself and the community at large does not increase the dignity of the patient.  It simply makes the numbers of peoople who dye infected with their disease increase.  How about their dignity?

In a few months after the initial Ebola Panic has subsided or stablized, Oh, the lawsuits, they will be flying both hither and tither! Some laws will need to be invented to manage this stringy mess of circumstance.

Why doesn’t the family in the apartment have it? They were exposed Friday, Saturday and Sunday, basically 24x7, and the deputy went there the following Friday for a few minutes.

It’s doubling every 3 weeks and this is because it sits undetected for 3 weeks...

We will all know very soon. 30 to 60 days from now there will be little to no debate about it.

There is law and protocols for Eboloa to keep it out of the country or quarantined on a ship.

Nevertheless, the Administration REFUSE to secure the border and REFUSE stop illegal immigrants from West Africa coming here.
