Where are they getting the money to fly in and out of the U.S.? They are living in huts like Obama’s brother over there, so what gives?

My idea is to take people off this excuse those who support the government hand out and some fall into... That we can manage Ebola - what’s the problem...

And to that I say .. B.S. We don’t want to even be exposed ... what are you thinking about ... America is not a Third World Country

It would just make sense to be able to use all of the resources that would be needed if Ebola spreads globally to train locals to treat it themselves, contained in Africa. I would like to see NO caregivers who want to return to their homelands being involved with actual contact with Ebola victims in these countries.

If they won't step up and follow procedures, that's even more of a reason to contain it. Darwin and all of that.

I agree.

Just for the amount of time, until this is under control.

Close immigration, from those countries with major outbreaks of Ebola.

Completely. Re-open it when they’re over the outbreak, but this needs to be stopped right now.

Sensible. Obvious.

The big question is why we haven’t already done that?

The answer seems obvious to me.

Here’s another idea too — after restricting flights in and out to nothing but ‘essential flights’, why not have plastic barriers between all passengers aboard those planes?

FEDGOV run by CPUSA and Unions not protecting US Citizens

Why is GOP and Right Wing letting this go unchallenged?

Maybe the Military needs to step in and clean house.

The CDC chief when interviewed posed an outrageous position — he automatically linked restricting West Africans from coming here to we cannot keep Aid workers from flying there...

Total double talk .. no one was taking the position of stopping aide workers from going there..

Typical Leftist trick - switch the topic - ignore the issue

Not only should the issuance of visas to the region be stopped, but those not already over here should have their visas revoked, and those here now should have them revoked if they return home.

Stop direct flights, and stop taking anyone on indirect incoming flights who can’t prove they have been elsewhere for the entire previous month.

More reasons to not waste time discussing topic points about such things as - can the Ebola be transferred by airborne particles... Instead discuss stopping granting Visas to West Africans... which is the real problem - not quibbling about how it could be transmitted...

************************************************************
The debate over whether the Ebola Virus can be transmitted by airborne particles is pointless.

Note: Airborne is defined as being small particle size and light enough weight to be expelled from a patient and float around in the air. If the Ebola Virus did mutate to allow airborne transmission it would be a very bad thing...

But it does not have to be capable of airborne transmission — because the others methods of transferring the virus are plenty good enough right now to cause a serious epidemic. Just look at West Africa - thousands of Ebola patients and half or more are dying...

So right now we have these methods of transfer: vomitious, diarrhea fluids, saliva/spit, mucous, phlegm, sweat, semen... Let’s see..

- Sudden projectile vomiting - train, bus, plane, classroom, mall escalator, office elevator, and a thousand other places - you may be right in the path...

- Uncontrollable diarrhea- (often quite liquid) train, bus, plane, classroom, mall escalator, public restroom, taxi seat, restaurant seat, and a thousand other places. And you came right after him ... sat down on the commode seat, touched this - touched that.. any object ... a fomite

- Energetic Sneezing or Coughing: Expelling droplets of saliva, or nasal mucous, or globs or globlets of phlegm

- Sweating: mostly likely a family member who handles the fever sweat clothing of the Ebola Victim

- Semen: Fairly self-explanatory.

So - if we have people in America with Ebola for which they have not sought treatment... they are in supermarkets, malls, riding taxis or a bus, in clinic waiting rooms, trying on clothes at a department store ... AND all of a sudden they going into a violent episode of vomiting - vomiting wildly as the Duncan family said... Or the Ebola victim has diarrhea in a public restroom and your next ... did he get it on the sink edge when he washed his hands or on the faucet handle, or the towel dispenser? Or you just standing in the supermarket checkout line and this guy turns and coughs or sneezes very hard - spraying globs - big and small - some so small you cannot see ... all over your clothes, your hands, arms, face, and not seen on your shoes that you take off later.

Fomites: Inanimate objects that get touched by the flying droplets and globlets of mucous - a door knob, a commode handle, a taxi door handle, a bus rail.

Get The Picture ? The Ebola Virus does not have to be airborne capable to reek havoc - to cause disease... to kill people...

Arguing about whether the Ebola Virus is airborne capable is a pointless diversion from the issues at hand and a waste of time.

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Airport Security Gaffe Couldn’t Have Made It Any Easier For Ebola To Enter America

CNN’s Senior Medical Correspondent Elizabeth Cohen told Robin Meade on HLN’s Morning Express with Robin Meade that she and her two colleagues were not asked a lot of questions when they returned from Liberia while covering the Ebola crisis.

“I expected that they were going to take my temperature, they were going to ask me lots of questions, but they didn’t.

“I said, ‘I’m a journalist, I’ve come back from Liberia, I was covering Ebola.’ And the gentleman who was helping me, the officer, he started to hand my passport back and say, ‘Welcome home,’ but instead he said, ‘Oh wait a second, I got an email about passengers like you, hold on a second.’

“And he went and conferred with someone and he didn’t know, and they conferred with someone else and in the end he said, ‘You need to watch yourself for signs of Ebola.’ And I said, ‘Well, what am I watching for?’ And he couldn’t tell me.

“Now, as if that weren’t bad enough Robin, I was traveling with two colleagues, a photojournalist and a producer, and they weren’t told anything. And they also said that they were journalists who’d been covering Ebola.

“So we were all kind of shocked and pretty horrified at the lack of screening in U.S. airports, but you know, as we’ve been talking about, that may be changing, they may be doing more to screen passengers who are coming in from west Africa.”

What can you do to force stoppage of bringing West Africans from the Ebola Hotspots into America — to stop the government from issuing visas to Ebola Hotspot residents ... to stop airlines from flying Ebola Hotspot Residents into the U.S. ?

- Incessantly call/fax/email the corporate headquarters all major International Airlines and tell them point blank that unless they stop transporting residents of West African Ebola Hotspot Residents to America - you will work with an effort to BLACKLIST them along with the efforts of millions of other Americans .. And will contribute to any legal fund to help file lawsuits against them for endangering the American public.

- Incessantly call/fax/email all politicians running for national office - 33 Senate seats up for bid and a large number of House seats... For the Democrats - ridicule them for being obama’s lackeys, lampoon their being dominated by obama’s insane policy of continuing to allow West African Ebola Hotspot Residents into America. Demand of all politicians running for office and those that are not this term... demand that they take definitive action to force the CDC, the State Department and Immigration to cease issuing Visas to Ebola Hotspot Residents... The CDC can issue health advisories insisting that travel by Ebola Hotspot Residents is dangerous to American.
