Reporter Nelufar Hedayat looks at the terrible conditions dogs are forced to live in just to keep the black market in dog meat supplied
A shocking new TV documentary will reveal how hundreds pet dogs are being stolen every day in Vietnam for the lucrative dog meat trade. Unreported World shows disturbing evidence of how dogs are stolen, force-fed, kept in cramped cages and slaughtered for meals. Here, reporter Nelufar Hedayat exclusively reveals the horrors she witnessed.
The smell of dog and filth permeated the whole room along with frantic, high-pitched barking from the hundreds of dogs crammed into the large metal caged room.
Inside, line upon line of smaller crates were already packed with dogs who seemed to be vomiting rice onto the wet floor.

Can’t get their faces out of my mind, but noticed a lot of shepherds and wondered if they aren’t descendants of our military working dogs left behind.
Makes me kind of glad I’m not a dog owner. It would make me too upset.
As bad as it is dogs in Vietnam rank very low on a list issues that need addressing.
Dogs are easy to breed and well have a couple litters a years.
But then crooks a lot of time work harder at being criminals then having a legiamate job.
Meat is murder.
I think it is immoral to abandon dogs that we have used in military operations. It’s not as though it would really cost that much to bring them home when we sent them over there.
They should switch to rat meat. Hey NYC will be a gold mine supply but expect to pay a rat tax export fee.
They eat cats too.
But the libs keep telling us we have to accept other cultures; ours is not superior.
That was 40 years ago, today they do not leave them behind in a war zone.
They probably are, because German Shepherds aren’t native to Vietnam.
Heard they do in fact eat rat. Truth be told, I would eat a rat before a dog or cat. Never got to know a rat. They eat guineas in South America, but my sister has 14.
A sign of greater communist failings. This world is so amoked up.
You can bet your bottom boopie that some of that dog and also meats from other critter varmints have been imported to the USA as ‘beef’ or ‘chicken’. Who hasn’t eaten some chinese or other asian restaurants where the meat tasted a little different?
I’m glad to hear that. Even if the only way to take the home was by bulk crating them, I’d rather have that than leave them behind.
FUBAR
In Bible Old Testament law its forbidden to eat animals that are carnivors like dogs, cats, snakes and the sort.
It is an issue that should concern all Americans. My last trip to the grocery store had LABELS on meat products that stated what country produced and processed it.
Which means we are now importing meat from foreign countries like China and other places that think eating dogs, cats or rats is OK.
Would you buy meat produced and processed in China? I won’t.
There’s no way I can click on that link, and thank you so much for not posting the pics here. I’ll just pray for those dogs...God’s little innocent creations.
It’s been hours and their eyes show that they have given up and know. Like abused kids, the stare of hopelessness and despair. Many are pets or guard dogs stolen from families. One country had their laws changed so they couldn’t import (Cambodia I think — don’t want to go back to the site) so they are VN village dogs.
The fact that these people think that animal meat or parts works like viagra is pure ignorance. What a difference the world would be with simple education that can be used within a culture. Have to go.
