While the boy genius is preoccupied with ISIS (to the extent that he is), Putin is apparently throwing in a few complications.

The Russkis love us now because we elected the first half black/half assed president. They were just dropping by to say hello and congratulate Barry for his Nobel.

Thanks for the post.

So in the past 4 weeks the Russian airforce has violated the airspace of Finland, Japan, Sweden, and the United States in provocative test runs. Putin is trying the limits of Obozo’s promised “flexibility” and finding no resistance.

Move along, nothing to see here...

Hell, nothing new here.

The Russians played the same game back in 1958 when my CIC was a guy by the name of Eisenhower.

They just wanted to see how long it took for us to launch our F-102 Delta Daggers.

I will just admit it, I’m not at all educated on what they mean by “Intercepted”. Are they saying the American fighters BLOCKED the Russian Warplanes or simply ENCOUNTERED them. An interception in football is where player A catches the ball meant for player B.

...provocation President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko States.

Relax, Pete, Obama's got your back, he'll pull the pin when it's time to reward your "loyalty".

I remember the days Raisa Gorbatchev came to the US embarassed by the state of the Soviet Union when talking to Nancy Reagan... How quickly the roles are reversing now.

Intercept means that our boys went up to check out the Russians. They probably got within waving distance and to make sure their "intentions" were pure and honorable. In the cold war, we did it all the time, and they would intercept us. Not major threats on either side; just a game they/we both played.

With each flight all the birds gather a bit more intelligence about capabilities and whatnot.

The Russians are getting a bit more sporty. I’m surprised that we’re even still able to scramble aircraft to protect the homeland - we certainly couldn’t do it on 9/11 and we’ve only GUTTED the military since then.

Thanks for explaining. That’s close to what I thought.
The Russians have not done so much close buzzing and intercepting in various countries since before Yeltsin.

That cocky gesture looks like what the RED Chinese Air Force did to us just two weeks ago. Our Generals ‘vigorously shook their fingers and clenched their veiny fists in indignation’ but thanks to the new, stripped down, pinked up military, plus overall leading from behind passivity, nothing more was done nor will be done.

Russians sending us a message—we need to listen to what they are telling us. They make good friends and bad enemies. We could use their help in Syria and Iraq. We may have to look the other way while they snap up eastern Ukraine.

intercept means they met them and flew as to indicate you go no closer.

engage means they intercepted and began fighting/attacking.

So present day Russia is now equal in role to the US under Reagan.

Geez, no it isn't.

Vomit.

Yeah sure. A guy who invades Ukraine while he leaves ISIS alone is a guy Iwe should be listening to.

I’m afraid you’re right. If that happens, the Ukraines will feel straight out betrayed, just like the Poles did after Obama removed our missile defense systems in their country to appease Putin. If/when we do allow Russia to retake the Ukraine, you just know shortly after that, China will gooble up Taiwan, once and for all. On the day THAT happens, if you want to find Obama (for what, I couldn’t say) look on the nearest elite golf course. In the future, the millinial’s children will say, the western world went down the Sh*77er, while Obama Golfed. They will wonder how we could ‘let that happen’ in such a blatant manner.
