Let the media and the politicians tell these business owners, who lost everything, that the police were too "militarized."
The so-called militarization of police is a theme that has been repeated ad nauseam by the media. Politicians have jumped on the bandwagon, and they quickly held a September 8th hearing through the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs to examine this alleged problem. What they got was testimonymostly ignored by the mediaabout how military-style equipment in the hands of the police can actually save lives.
At issue is the Congressionally-authorized 1033 program, which provides surplus equipment from the Department of Defense for use by police agencies in law enforcement, counter-drug and counter-terrorism activities.

The politicians were the ones who encouraged the looting and rioting. If they had just arrested the looters, rioters etc there would have been no problem. Police were ordered to stand down while criminals rioted and looted.
I would never be a cop. That’s a no win job.
Old Cliff is still around?
Guys like Cliff are why conservatives can’t have nice things. ;)
It certainly is now.
You have to serve two masters, the politicians outside the agency and the ones inside the agency.
Based on the headline....
Militarized Police Failed to Stop Ferguson Riots
I’d say old Cliff is a fricken liar and idiot.
The Ferguson LEO’s with their tear gas, rubber bullets and military tanks DID stop the rioting and looting.
Only after Sharpton, Holder, Johnson and the other black racist bastids STOPPED the police/military tactics and ALLOWED the ferals to loot and burn did things get worse.
The Department of Homeland Security, which likes to show up at peaceful, lawful TEA Party rallies, was also conspicuously absent.
Oh, but the DHS did have its affiliates there. The Just Us Department and the New Black Panthers. With Al Sharpton as the White Hut Delegate to fan racism.
All Obama sanctioned thugs who hate America.
How about we take these militarized police warriors and put their boots on the ground fighting ISIS? Thereby, no military service participation, but civilian warriors.
Militarization of police isn’t about protecting citizens, it’s about protecting police from citizens.
