In October 1989 people in the community of Reston, Virginia went about their daily lives not realizing that a serious crisis was developing right in their back yards that would not be entirely resolved until March 1990. It was a serious calamity that could have wiped out the entire population. This dire emergency was described twenty years ago by Richard Preston in his non-fiction book, The Hot Zone. The hot zone refers to an area that contains lethal, infectious organisms also dubbed hot agent, an extremely lethal virus, potentially airborne. (Richard Preston, The Hot Zone, Random House, New York, 1994, p. 296)
The Ebola Reston virus jumped quickly from room to room... Ebola apparently drifted through the building's air-handling ducts

If you look into it, the conditions are terrible there, the equipment and gear inadequate and reused and worn, and the help not as well trained as here.
Yeah. Give it a rest and play counting cars or something.

I remember watching a special on tv years ago about the Reston, VA scare. It sure scared me!! Does anyone remember who did that show? PBS? ABC? Wish I knew, I would watch it again!
Oh shut up...this is an important story that needs attention, no matter how it’s posted.
No.
There was a case listed in the book where “control” monkeys, across the room from Ebola monkeys contracted the disease without being injected.
They think it was transmitted via sneezes or droplets within the small, contained area.
“The one on the left is the sick guy.”
Looks like a woman. But how would we know.
Monkeys have a nasty habit of throwing their feces as well.
When I was a kid we had a monkey house in the local zoo. I learned at a very young age the disgusting things that monkeys would throw. From urine, spit, feces and semen. Things kids shouldn’t learn. They finally closed that place after a large chimp got out and terrorized the neighborhood.
Monkeys are gross.
I owned one once, I was so relieved the night that I traded him for a tank of gas and some fuses, at a filling station.
No. You made a somewhat personal attack. Which we know is supposed to be against the rules.
Maybe it has taken insults to scare off pimp bloggers. I don't know because I haven't been keeping count of the successes.
I'm just saying that an explanation, at least the first time, seems the 'right' thing to do.
I also don't see how linking to CFP is blog pimping. CFP is not that poster's blog, that I am aware.
I have read your other arguments posted on this thread and have been around long enough to know, and appreciate, what you are doing.
However, I don't think it applies in this case. Remember the old childhood tale about 'crying wolf' ?
lol Every time I see the blogpimp title thrown, it simply males me go and click. It doesn’t hurt me at all. Or, anyone else I could see.
Toledo.
Send 'em to Toledo. They could use some scum suckers about now.
One of the FR threads Water in Toledo, Ohio, remains undrinkable pending more tests (Ban Lifted)
What kind of stuff are you doing and why should I look?
