“Despicable” Anti-Clinton Books Should Be Banned
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 25 July 2014 | John Semmens

Posted on 07/26/2014 9:23:05 AM PDT by John Semmens

Outraged by the surging popularity of anti-Clinton books overtaking sales of Hillary Clinton’s State Department memoir, Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill offered his opinion that “in a just world such despicable nonsense would neither be allowed nor enabled.”

The “despicable nonsense” books Merrill is saying ought to be censored include The First Family Detail by Ronald Kessler, Clinton, Inc. by Daniel Halper and Blood Feud by Ed Klein.

“It is a travesty that books like these are outselling a historically important work by a major player in contemporary American history,” Merrill complained. “Their authors are comparative nobodies trying to get rich by feeding off the greatness of someone toward whom they ought to be showing greater respect. To suggest that the Clintons may have been motivated by anything other than an extraordinary commitment to public service is a libel that should not be tolerated.”

In addition to banning such books Merrill suggested that “all profits be confiscated and donated to the Clinton Foundation where they can be more meritoriously deployed for the good of the country.”

Halper said that “the virulence of the Clinton camp’s reaction to the modest success of my book serves to vindicate my thesis that the Clintons run a ruthless political machine.” Klein called “the demand for censorship a very telling confirmation that the facts I presented cannot be refuted.”

Wonder what the requirements are for “despicability”? The clintoons are purty durn despicable. Drag a $100 “bill” through a trailer park and you’ll see billy boy pop out of one of ‘em.

That is one of the most ridiculous, fatuous, stupid, asinine statements ever made, exceeded only by the suggestion that ant-clinton books be banned. So only rich nobodies like the Clintons deserve to get rich (I sould say richer).

I think if anyone could say that with credibility, it would be Sarah Palin, who to this day, is slandered in the press, and libeled in print. Hillary needs to just shut it on this topic. You wanted to poke your nose into everbody’s life with your grand policies and by supporting that Obamacare Frankenstein? Fine. Now it’s our turn to discuss the ruins of culture. Deal with it. Besides, dictators don’t tend to have the most pleasant of lives, think of our old friend Nicolae Ceausescu after the Romainian Revolution of 1989.

I got three sentences in before I thought to check to see that it was satire. It’s not to hard to believe that the Clinton machine would have suggested something like this though.

If Nicky and Slick Willie’s wife can’t take the heat, they need to get out of the kitchen. This isn’t Fahrenheit 451.

30 years ago, before they were in any positions of authority, they drove around in battered, rusted out Volvos and VW Beetles held together with "I read banned books" and "question Authority" bumperstickers. Oh, and who can forget this Bush43-bashing tidbit?

So where is she gathering together the Leftist Governemnt Supremacists to burn the books that dare to have free speech in them?

"You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police. Yet in their hearts there is unspoken - unspeakable! - fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts! Words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home, all the more powerful because they are forbidden. These terrify them. A little mouse - a little tiny mouse! - of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic." -Winston Churchill

"Without free speech no search for truth is possible... no discovery of truth is useful... Better a thousandfold abuse of free speech than denial of free speech. The abuse dies in a day, but the denial slays the life of the people, and entombs the hope of the race." -Charles Bradlaugh

“Das war ein Vorspiel nur; dort wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man auch am Ende Menschen." ~Heinrich Heine

“Book burnings. Always the forerunners. Heralds of the stake, the ovens, the mass graves.” ― Geraldine Brooks

Oh, they came very close to suggesting this yesterday link.

Mr. Semmens modified the language used by Hillary flack Nick Merrill only very slightly to come up with this semi-satire.

These books belong on the list of books to read during the American Library Associan's Banned Book Week.

She lives by the premise that “Some animals are more equal than others”...she took Napoleon to be the hero in that book. She thinks that Orwell’s 1984 is blueprint instead of a warning.

Can suggesting that all Democrats be rounded up and gassed, as a benefit to world culture, economy and health, be considered as humor and satire?

I remember when these same progs ridiculed Christian Fundamentalists who tried to ban Huck Finn from the schools because they claimed it contained sexual innuendos. The same hypocrites who now try to ban the very same book, because it contains the dreaded N-WORD. Never mind that Mark Twain was a staunch abolishionist.

I usually see the source before reacting ... they got me, this time.

But from your link ... you're right ... it WAS said without being said.
