Anyone wishing to explore the workings of the hoplophobic mind needs only consider the actions of the 2013, Colorado legislature. First time violators of the states new gun legislation face up to one year in prison. Yet a real life criminal who commits a felony while in violation of the law is subject to only 18 months. This makes an armed robber just 33% more worthy of punishment than the law abiding citizen who also happens to own a 20 round magazine. Disgraceful.
Yet Colorado politicos couldnt have been happier with their knee-jerk attempts to intimidate Centennial State gun owners after the 2012 killings in Newtown, Connecticut. Included in the 2013 gun control legislation signed into law by Democrat Governor John Hickenlooper were requirements for universal background checks, new demands for mental health reporting and prohibitions against large capacity magazinesthat is, of over 15 round capacity. (1)
Though its been a year since the law went into effect, Gov. Hickenlooper has spent the last few months running from his signature on it, not wanting to join 2 Democrats recalled from office and another forced to retire as a result of their own anti-gun ways. Last month, at an Aspen forum, Hickenlooper told sheriffs representatives that he had no idea that the overwhelming majority of their peers were so strongly opposed to the then, proposed legislation. It was news to Hickenlooper that these same representatives wanted to meet with him prior to his signing the legislation into law. (2)
He also had no idea that the overwhelming majority of the states...

The only way for anti gun politicians to see the error of their ways is to make them pay.
Senate seat is more important but then it could set a top gov up for the other seat someday.
If he had “no idea” then he is too clueless for this job.
Chickenpooper is...never mind, I think I’ve said it all.
People forget that Bloomberg used to be a REPUBLICAN.
But maybe he still is? He’s getting Democrats to drink the gun-control Kool-Aid that is resulting in their certain political deaths. This is fun to watch.
Don’t worry Hickie. The union guys are on the way. They “fix” things.
FYI
From what I’ve heard, Bloomberg ran for mayor of New York as a Republican because all the slots for democrat on the ballot were filled.
I’m not sure how New York City’s election laws work, but Bloomturd really wanted to be mayor and running as a Republican was the only way to get his name on the ballot (for a major political party).
To paraphrase Marc Antony, “The evil that a politician accomplishes lives after them”
Now to get this travesty which is unenforcable removed may take years.
Hickenlooper has learned that even “sensible” gun laws are unenforceable because people know that restrictions on our God-given right to keep and bear arms are illegitimate, that they are useless because criminals don’t follow gun laws, and that there is a penalty for offending decent people. Good riddance.
That’s how I remember it too...the only way he could run was as a Republican.
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
My leftist neighbor is sure to have the Chickenlooper signs out everywhere.
I just sent some more money to Cory Gardner.
Udall and Hick were in southwest Colo. a few weeks ago and the turnouts were pretty pitiful.
Couldn’t we get it removed with a ballot measure? A bunch of signatures?
Bloomberg's wiki page says "A Democrat before seeking elective office, Bloomberg switched his party registration in 2001 to run for mayor as a Republican".
“lying about anti-gun ways”
The “high capacity magazine”law is an example. Completely unenforceable. I have 30 rd. magazines. Did I buy them before the ban or did I drive to Kansas, or Wyoming or Nebraska,or Utah or........ and buy them? Idiot gov. chickeneffer can’t tell and neither can the LEO types. So FU hickenblooper.
