One year after being outed as illiterate in the George Zimmerman murder trial, Trayvon Martin's friend Rachel Jeantel is a changed woman after graduating from high school.
Jeantel underwent seven hours of tutoring a day after her reading skills were ridiculed when she testified during the Florida trial last year at age 19. At the time, she had a fourth-grade reading level.
"Very, very, very tough," she told ABC News of the tutoring. "That's what I needed."
With the help of friend and lawyer Rod Vereen, who arranged the tutoring, she hopes to graduate college one day.

“I kept my word to Trayvon that I would do this," Jeantel told CNN, through Vereen.
She also had harsh words for Zimmerman, who was acquitted after he admitted to gunning down Martin in February of 2012.
"To me, you’re not a man," she told CNN. "George Zimmerman’s not a man. That’s still a little boy with a grown body."
Looked like she gained another 100lbs so turning a “round” is only natural.
Oh, I'm sure the lawyer will help her. He'll have the lawsuits filled out and ready to file the first time someone says "No, thanks" to her.
I’d be glad if I believed any of it.
Did she go and learn “cursive”?
She sounds better academically and intellectually and that’s good. It’s more proof of what can and should be done to improve government education. But from her words it’s obvious her heart and soul need fixing, too.
This is basically the way the Al Sharpton got his start.
When she gets 'smart enough' to know who to 'praise' and who to 'damn', she will 'be something'.
Assuming she had been offered an education - FREE of charge - and apparently none of it 'took (thanks G. Costanza)' now in less than a year she made up ALL the work she missed in her previous 15-18 years (counting pre school OR as we used to call it 'The time your parents 'prepared' you for life'.
As a great example of her 'book learning' she accused CNN of 'not being a man'?

NOW that sort of terminology etc is something I had never learned.....

So but for the grace of God you would have lied under oath in court? And you would not have expressed remorse for goading St. Trayvon in to attacking Zimmerman?
Never heard the “grace of god” phrase used in that way.
When she says she is sorry to George, I will believe.
Why wouldn’t you lie under oath?

My guess is that she has had absolutely zero positive role models who have provided her with any moral compass.
I’m guessing most here have had someone at some point in their lives who instilled some values in them.
Maybe it took this case for this girl to receive some kind of help in a positive direction. I hope it continues.

My cousins daughter just graduated from high school and cannot write a coherent sentence. She posted on FB for everyone to ‘read my book’. It was painful. Not just the fact that she jumps from one thought to another but no punctuation and misspellings throughout. A fourth grader can write better.

You really need to spend some time reading all about a man named Jesus Christ.Why he came to earth and why he died. Would he echo your thoughts about this girl and me?
