According to documentation Mexican Army troops have invaded U.S. soil 300 times challenging the Border Patrol, local citizens and shooting and injuring one person seriously. The accompanying video by Channel4 indicates the seriousness of this situation. The Channel 4 news crew crossed into Sonora Mexico and interviewed the commander of the Mexican Army outpost on the border.
The U.S government claims to be investigating these incidents but nothing has been disclosed or resolved.
A 35 foot physical barrier is very effective at stopping all but the most determined. And it makes even those much harder to see.
Walls are not 100%, but they are effective against the vast majority.

The most determined makes it sound like an individual effort. Smuggling people (and drugs) is a huge business in Mexico. My buddy took me to see one of the famous tunnels with lights and rail cars. (I saw the top, not the actual tunnel, which was destroyed.) They moved hundreds, if not thousands of people. Others ran the moving platform business I described. These weren’t simple ladders. At night he said they’d move a platform to the wall and let a ladder down the other side.
Yes, if we were trying to stop individuals a wall would do it. But these are business operations.
Oh, I’m told that one of the most watched cable channels is simply a set of cameras on the gates displaying the time required at that moment to get through. A written report would say, “They are searching cars at this gate. Go to (this other gate) and you’ll go right through.”

Maybe if they flew bombers 50 miles off the Mexifornia coastline they would get noticed?
I’m sure one could put enough explosives along the border to deflect whatever the invaders try. To top it off, place snipers every 100 yards. Maybe have automatic gatling guns every 10 yards. Maybe have a deep and wide trench filled with sulphuric acid. Have thousands of rabid dogs roaming between two parallel lines of high concertina wire. Have all those. Whatever it takes. God knows if we don’t spend our money to defense the country and it’s borders, the LIBs will create “programs” to help illegals get here and vote for them forever.

The main enemy is the LIB/DIMs; however, it is possible to do more than one thing at a time. Stop the illegal invasion AND bring these anti-Americans to justice.
A wall is only one part of a much larger set of solutions. Others include GSR, cameras, roving patrols, ground sensors, increased physical searches, etc. These are all “zone 1” type activities that occur at the boarder.
Zone 2 activities are in-country and are designed to catch illegal aliens in motion (moving to some place else in the country).
Zone 3 activities are for “resident” illegal aliens. Those that have taken up residence some where and are trying to establish a home here in the US. This can include things like requiring E-Verify be used by all employers, INS employment checks / raids, prohibiting enrollment in schools and colleges if here illegally, require the reporting of anyone sending more than $100 in overseas wire transfers, etc

These are easy to spot, they’re filing income tax forms. Seriously. My sister worked for H&R Block and had numerous illegals. (No, I don’t know about the SS numbers. But I’ll ask next time we talk.)
