Random thoughts on Big Guys random thoughts on Iraq:
We have had advisors in Iraq through our embassy, and we're prepared to send a small number of additional American military advisers -- up to 300 -- to assess how we can best train, advise and support Iraqi security forces going forward.
Three words: John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Nuff said.
Iran can play a constructive role if it's helping to send the same message to the Iraqi government that we are sending, which is that Iraq only holds together if it's inclusive and if the interests of Sunni, Shia and Kurd are all respected...
Which of course makes as much sense as expecting Hanoi to send the same message to Saigon as we were sending them.
And going forward, we will be prepared to take targeted and precise military action if and when we determine that the situation on the ground requires it.
Didnt we try that once before?
Above all, Iraqi leaders must rise above their differences and come together around a political plan for Iraqs future.
I wonder if that applies to the American people as well?
it's clear that only leaders who can govern with an inclusive agenda will truly bring the Iraqi people together.
Ditto, my comment above.
In related news: ISIS seizes Saddam-era chemical weapons complex. Wait, what? I thought there were no weapons of mass destruction. Didnt Ms. Megyn just inform the real Dick Cheney the other night that he was wrong about that, as well as everything else? You dont suppose Dick Cheney was right all along and we just never located the WMD do you? Oh well, what difference, at this point, does it make?
And finally, a curious gesture has emerging among ISIS terrorists; theyve adopted an American Sports expression, generally reserved for champions: WERE NUMBER 1!
Just when you think things cant possibly get any odder, they suddenly get even curiouser and curiouser.
Spider holes, rabbit holes: again, I ask, what difference at this point does it make?
There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. Donald Rumsfeld
Unfortunately for Barack Hussein Obama, weve blown through the known knows, the known unknowns and now were up to the unknown unknowns.

Where’s Quidam when you need him?
Obama has painted a target on the backs of those brave men that he has sent to Iraq. Think The 300 who fought bravely and well against enormous odds, yet they all were killed in the end.
Obama is a jedi-dumb ass.
Its the start of another Vietnam like adventure. First advisors, then some support for them and then another Gulf of Tonkin. I was in SE Asia from 63 through 66 and watched that mess grow and grow, to the tune of 50,000 casualties. They are marketing the same “Domino Theory” again this time with terrorists. I say, “Nay,Nay”.
How long before one of those men being sent into the meat grinder is arrested and charged with a War Crime for attempting to defend himself?
In the beginning the original 12 advisers sent by JFK to 'Nam, few came back....didn't Obama send some 'Advisers' to Africa to hunt down the war lord Kony..what news of them? .... Sending 300 "Advisers" back to Iraq seems a fools errand as this CinC had pulled the plug on any success in that arena, besides, who can trust anything Obama says.
If allowed to fight to win is one thing.....however, this time the Rules of Engagement must allow these Americans to do what must be done in order for them to get out alive. Sec. Hagel and Army General Dempsey MUST not continue to be lap dogs for Obama and his 'closest' advisers who seem to favor success for extremest Muslims...those two must protect the Americans with RofE that protect and aid Americans not 'aid and protect Islam'.
