I find it hard to believe we would leave a bunch of missiles just lying around when we withdrew. Also why would they not have remote destruct capability, just in case they fell into the wrong hands. Something is fishy here.

“advanced Stinger Missiles from abandoned U.S. military bases. “

Who in their right mind would leave serious weaponry behind when leaving a base?

Unless you WANTED the militants to get the arms, like the 20,000 M16s “mysteriously missing” from unguarded warehouses in Kuwait in 2013 (notice that the people in robes and turbans are not carrying AK’s, they are carrying M16s).

Unbelievably irresponsible to leave missiles, shells, rifles where bad guys can get them.

We didn’t leave them laying around, we left them for the Iraqi military.

There are some 30 nations that use stinger missiles.

The B@st@rd could not keep his mouth shut.

They just put targets on the backs of every special forces member.

"When an airliner gets shot down in this country, what’s the Kenyan going to say?"

Time for more restrictions on firearms....

He'll say it was a centerline fuel tank explosion.

Wonder how many of them can be traced to Benghazi?

We didn’t leave them laying around, we left them for the Iraqi military.

Sounds like a lack of or very strange strategic thinking to me. Just why would Iraq need an advanced anti-aircraft weapon? None of their likely opponents had or have an air force. And anybody who thought that the present government of Iraq might fight against Iran is woefully ignorant.

So just exactly what was the logic for leaving advanced portable low altitude anti-aircraft weapons in Iraq? That seems like a good question for a House or Senate committee to ask somebody from the DOD or the White House - behind closed doors and under oath.

We’ve sold or given variations of them to some 30 nations over the years.

No room for the electronics and separate charge.

Totally predictable and I suspect it’s the preferred result.

Obama is a disaster. You get what you pay for America. It only takes a handful of stinger missiles to cripple the airline industry.

OH SURE the Stingers are from, “abandoned military bases”:

This whole story is just COVER for Bengazi MANPADS.

Very slick, I must admit. Well done.

NEVER BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY SAY.
