Would anyone know why a seller of gun supplies can't ship an 8 round 9mm magazine to Ct. Are they Banned?

That would be my guess. CTD is well aware of state gun laws.

CTD changed dramatically about five-six years ago. I used to buy everything from them until they started coming up with their own versions of local firearms laws and switched to a multiple location shipping method which jacks their shipping prices way up unless you order only items from one location.

For example, they will now no longer ship any part for ar15 ak47 or similar type rifles to Cook County due to the supposed “assault weapons ban” which is ONLY covers unincorporated county land such as county parks. When I called and read them the law and explained that in my town, which is incorporated, the rifles are legal, they basically said tough crap, we’re not selling that butt stock to you.

They now ship from multiple locations and each location carries different items. If you want two items, each from a different warehouse, you’ll pay two arms and a leg for shipping.

Then there’s the bull they pulled right after Sandy Hook, when first they pulled all their battle rifles from their online store, then a day later, put them back up - doubling the prices.

Since they went Commie, I just say no.

I personally find it amazing that as a CT gun owner you don’t already know the answer to that question. Are you aware that 300,000 of your fellow citizens are now felons because they refuse to register their MSRs? Are you aware that your state government has vowed to send SWAT teams after every one of them? Are you aware that members of your police departments are telling gun owners that they “can’t wait to get the order” to break down your door and shoot you if you resist? What rock have you been hiding under?

During the panic buying after Sandy Hook, CTD was the worst of the worst when it came to price gouging ammunition and AR modern sporting rifles.

I for one will never give them a dime of my money.

CDT is NOT an option.

They were the worst at jacking up prices on guns and ammo after Sandy Hook.

Ordering anything firearms-related via the Internet can be a problem. I’ve recently begun buying reloading supplies, and no one local (Southern MA) could supply what I needed. Many on-line retailers will not ship to certain states, including mine, because they risk harassment and prosecution. In MA, it is not illegal for me to purchase these things, but the State tries to discourage out-of-state retailers from shipping here. I consulted with an attorney to see if I incur any liability by ordering (assuming I find a willing seller), and he said I was fine, but that many retailers don’t want the possible risk and make a decision not to sell in MA. I suspect CT is similar. I suggest you explore other alternatives on-line. www.armslist.com might enable you to find a private seller willing to “fly under the radar,” so to speak. From my experience, you must be creative and relentless. Good luck, and you have my sympathies!

They'll never get those past the gates into Connecticut.

You can probably stuff about 20 rounds of 22 LR into that magazine. More if 22 Short.

OOH, Bad.

140 pages of BS, but BS that applies to you.

http://www.cga.ct.gov/2013/ACT/pa/pdf/2013PA-00003-R00SB-01160-PA.pdf

Without regard to the other factors other FReepers have brought up, if I were in said business I wouldn’t sell to CT “AT ALL”, as the legal liability is simply too huge for sales to a single state. The other factor here is they may be encountering insurance difficulties here as well. This may end up extending to other suppliers. The so-called ‘Operation Chokepoint’ has many fronts: Legislative, financial and insured liability for a few.

The principal lesson here is to NOT let this (’this’ being said law) happen in any other States...

...and, of course, “MOVE”...

The other lesson is that the supplier is not the enemy; supply & demand is the rule. If people don’t like the prices then go somewhere else. Libs/Progs are the enemy.

Don’t lose focus, people...

CTD has a very bad reputation in the reloading community. I am not sure anyone is dealing with them from that group.

If you look, there usually is a page of state listings of where they cannot ship certain items.

CT is a small state. You might want to take a nice trip to New Hampshire or Vermont to “relax” and visit gun stores.
