CTD changed dramatically about five-six years ago. I used to buy everything from them until they started coming up with their own versions of local firearms laws and switched to a multiple location shipping method which jacks their shipping prices way up unless you order only items from one location.
For example, they will now no longer ship any part for ar15 ak47 or similar type rifles to Cook County due to the supposed “assault weapons ban” which is ONLY covers unincorporated county land such as county parks. When I called and read them the law and explained that in my town, which is incorporated, the rifles are legal, they basically said tough crap, we’re not selling that butt stock to you.
They now ship from multiple locations and each location carries different items. If you want two items, each from a different warehouse, you’ll pay two arms and a leg for shipping.
Then there’s the bull they pulled right after Sandy Hook, when first they pulled all their battle rifles from their online store, then a day later, put them back up - doubling the prices.
Since they went Commie, I just say no.
I sure wouldn’t do business with them. Spread the word every chance you get. When they notice their business is going downhill they’ll get the message.
I stopped buying from them when I saw a 420 round ammo can of XM855 (SS109) on 10 round stripper clips for $399.95. I bought the EXACT same can from Walmart the next week for $175. This was during the ammo crunch right around when Bozo was re-elected.
