Prayer Request: Employment after almost 2 years without
A Formerly Proud Canadian

Posted on 06/10/2014 2:43:20 PM PDT by A Formerly Proud Canadian

Good afternoon,

After almost two years of unemployment and a divorce, I ask for prayer that I obtain employment in my field very soon. Tomorrow and Thursday is the Global Petroleum Show in Calgary and a part of it is a job fair I am attending. I am praying that I can get a position in accounting or finance in Calgary. As I married soon after graduating, I was unable to pursue a designation, and after the divorce, I had no desire to pursue a designation, so that is a disadvantage. Please pray that the Lord sees fit to bless me with a decent job in my field.

If I am out of line in posting this request, please forgive me and remove it.

Thanks.

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

A prayer on your behalf.

If Calgary doesn’t work out consider a border crossing and explore North Dakota or South Texas. Can’t get enough people down here in the oil patches. Lots of jobs of various types are available. Best wishes.

Good luck at the oil show in Calgary.

I've attended a couple times when it was every other year and, altho I wasn't looking for a job, picked up a dozen new connections that have served over the years.

If there is a place on earth where you should make a connection, it's in Calgary, one of my favorite towns.

Yee Haa, eh ?

My prayers are with you as well. I went without a full time job from 2001 until 2007 (and in that stretch went without employment completely a few times), so I know how you feel. God will provide, He always does for those who seek Him.

Prayers for you, but please consider opportunities outside your field. God may be wanting to use you elsewhere for a time. Just a thought. I know it can be frustrating.

You are in my prayers FRother.

I was unemployed almost 4 years after my Line-of-Duty Army injury. I sat down and drew up a 2 page plan in pencil. Literally, baby steps. I followed the plan. It worked. I recommend the same for you. Pick a goal and list its prerequisites. Then list your requirements to meet the prerequisites

Have a plan and stick to it tenaciously. If you miss a step you should be sweating bullets and get on it ASAP.

Have a plan and make it good.

Best of luck.

God has a plan for you and it will be by His design, on His schedule. Stay focused and listen carefully for the path you should take. If something falls through keep listening.....you will find your purpose.

It may not be what you thought you needed. My prayer is that it leads you to something bigger and better than you could ever imagine.

Best of luck.
