Don Lemon kicked off CNN Tonight on Wednesday with a piece of commentary about Sgt. Bowe Bergdahls fellow soldiers appearing in the media to call him a deserter and the like. And what Lemon wanted to know was why these soldiers are speaking out so harshly against Bergdahl before theres any official evidence released to the public about what he did.
Lemon spoke of the bond soldiers normally have after they return home, brothers in arms, and how the greatest generation conducted themselves. And of the soldiers criticizing Bergdahl, he said, They have every right to speak out. They fought for it. And maybe theyre right. But the official evidence doesnt show that just yet.
He invoked the greatest generation again and wondered what theyd think of criticizing a fellow soldier before he had time to explain himself, before the official evidence was even in.

The people who were there should wait until their superiors tell them what happened.
Hey Ding-a-ling Donny - Bergdahls fellow soldiers don’t need to wait for official evidence - they were there!
Great idea. Let the people who were there wait until someone who wasn’t there tells them what happened while they were there.
Thanks for the input, Don - you’re a loyal little puppet and Daddy will give you a lollipop. Just don’t pretend to be a journalist. A journalist would be out digging for the facts, not admonishing the people who actually have them.
BINGO!
When someone suggest to wait on the facts....the facts were already assembled and known within two weeks after Bergdahl left. There’s likely a complete file already built of fifty people interviewed, details known, and more than a thousand pages of information. The prosecutor can walk in...review the episode and have a case ready to go within ten days....simply and easy. If I were Bergdahl....first priority upon hitting America...hire myself a lawyer and avoid all public commentary. He’s a guy who will be in court, and likely get a minimum of twelve months in a prison somewhere, unless the President waivers him (it’d go real good for the November elections if he did that....less public support).
I guess those soldiers who were there need to wait for the memo telling them what happened when Bowe the Buddhist Ballerina left that note and walked off into the night after mailing his belongings to his daddy.
It’s one thing if morons like this guy don’t get it, but I wish they’d quit insulting us by trying to convince us that we don’t get it. We do get it.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Sergeant Bergdahl were an officer or Sergeant Major of the Army before Mr. Obama leaves office. He’s everything they’re looking for for their new model army.
I am willing to wait.
It is not that I disbelieve his squad mates. That is not true - I give their testimony far more credibility than anyone else. I want to hear, and see, Bergdahl testify. See his eyes as he speaks.
People can go crazy in crazy situations. Any veteran can give you an earful on that, if you give them a few extra beers and listen carefully. I’ll not judge until I see if it were deliberate, or if he broke and decided to walk home.
Just my two cents. Can’t even get a coffee with that.
D M, “The people who were there should wait until their superiors tell them what happened”
Ya, why believe your lien eyes, when you can find out what happened from superiors?
Rab.
Don’s idea of journalism is to wait for Obama to release “official evidence” and then report that to his gullible readers as the facts.
These guys are in full out throw whatever c**p you can think up for distraction against the wall and see what sticks mode.
The soldiers who are speaking out are the guys who where there on the ground to be eye witnesses to Bergdahl’s actions.
Of course. And sounds like they are taking a big risk by telling the truth as they see it.
If the report that they signed a non disclosure agreement is true, “big risk” is like saying a nuke and a firecracker are basically the same thing!
What could happen to them?
Loss of benefits. Full investigation, including spilling classified info. Prison, if Obama is feeling really PO’d.
They are taking a risk, big time.
