Obama: Americans "better off" under his presidency
The Hill ^ | May 19, 2014 | Justin Sink

President Obama said Americans were “better off now than when I came into office,” during a fundraiser Monday night outside of Washington.

Obama also slammed congressional Republicans for their focus on the terror attack in Benghazi and the implementation of ObamaCare.

The president told attendees at the high-dollar soiree in Potomac, Maryland that his Republican opposition in Congress had been “captured by ideologues” whose principal focus was on “how to make people sufficiently skeptical, so they can win the next election.”

“The debate now is about what?” Obama asked. “Benghazi? ObamaCare? It becomes this endless loop.”

Obama told donors that he preferred a robust Republican Party — “I come from the Land of Lincoln” — but that the current iteration of the GOP did not believe “that government can get anything done.”

Obama’s remarks came at a fundraiser for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee at the home of Jeffrey Drenzer, a medical training and technology executive. Tickets to the event, billed as an “intimate dinner,” ranged from $10,000 per person to $32,400 per couple.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), DCCC Chairman Steve Israel (D-N.Y.), and Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley (D) joined a sizable contingent of House Democrats at the event, including Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) and fellow Maryland Democrats Elijah Cummings, Chris Van Hollen, Donna Edwards, Dutch Ruppersberger, and John Delaney. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) was also in attendance.

On his way to the fundraiser, Obama stopped to chat with a group of little league teams at a Northwest D.C. baseball field. The president posed for pictures and quizzed the co-ed teams on their drills.

Yes, but a significant segment of the American people do believe they are “better off” now than they were six years ago. Americans as a whole are too uninformed to know better.”

True. The American people had the opportunity to change the leadership of the nation in 2012 and chose to keep the same leader and the same policies. He had a record, as did his challenger. The people who voted consciously made a choice. It speaks to the desire for the people of the current generation for big government. Unfortunately, those who desire individual liberty, and are willing to be accountable for themselves, are in the minority.

But they, (black Americans) are NOT better off! His policies have done Absolutely Nothing to help them to improve their quality of life, or to become self sufficient - And more, they have made darn near Every American’s life Worse.

When the economy tanks, Every American feels it on some level, FRiend.

May God share His strength.

In what universe is this statement true?

I know: It is the Star Trek Mirror universe, where the Federation is evil, and in Earth's history, America had a noble, competent, humble black President who set safeguards to protect the Constitution, always told the truth, and made the economy roar back to life after George Bush.

The people who believe in Islam and Communism/socialism are better off because of Obama and their common beliefs.

You cannot tell me he won fairly. I estimate the normal voter fraud of 10% favoring Democrats was all the way to 15% on that election.

You can’t make this crap up. Obama is obviously living in a different universe.

My business is down... my family is suffering... my health costs are more than 200% higher than 2007... gasoline and diesel are at an all time high since this A$$ Hat took office which equates to EVERYHING costs a ton more... more jobs have gone overseas... more jobs have gone down the tubes from his EPA goon squads... the national debt is a nightmarish reality...My family and I are living in a fascist regime no better than a Banana Republic...The media for the most part is a propaganda machine for this idiot’s agenda...WHAT ELSE DID I FORGET?

And I’m supposed to be better off? I’ll be better off when this jerk wad leaves office.

No doubt Hitler would have had no problem saying the same thing about the German people under his chancellorship.

If Obama were Hitler, he'd be saying the Jews were better off under his Chancellorship.

The Inner Circle is better off, but not the rest of the country. That is the way Marxism works.

Pray America wakes up

“But they, (black Americans) are NOT better off! “

A really sad aspect of the human condition is that those of a baser nature actually DO feel good when those who are more successful are taken down. Especially when “one of their own” does the taking down.

They will say they’re better off because everyone they envy is having a hard time.

"President Obama said Americans were 'better off now than when I came into office'....."

Yeah, one could also say that about the slaves who were brought here from a third-world existence in Africa. The difference is that those slaves had the good sense to know that even though their masters were providing them food and shelter, they really were NOT better off because they were NOT FREE.

Obama's "slaves" (aka: democrats on the dole) are too lazy and stupid to care whether they are free or not as long as they get their welfare check, EBT card and Obama-Phone.

When obama took office, I was earning CLOSE to 6 figures. Today, I’m unemployed since October; going without groceries much of the time; the car is in disrepair...

Yep, I’m WHITE, so I guess it’s PAYBACK time. I must deserve it. I must have CHOSEN to be born white...

There's enough hate speech coming from Obama to have him arrested, according to his propaganda.
Also ignoring his job, and every issue that he and his Admin have yet to explain. Truthfully.

Standing in front of a crowd of Fluffers and lying will get an ovation.
Standing in front of committees and lying will get you impeached.

Boehner and Cantor Impeachment Documentation File for multiple Derelictions of Duty by House Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor for repeated refusals to apply Constitutional Checks and Balances on the frequent spending violations by the Obama Administration, during the past 4 years.

The looming 2014 Impeachments of Boehner and Cantor may also include the charges of Collusion and Bribery, pending additional documentation by Journalists, or Judicial Watch.
