Floyd Mayweather Faces Liberal Wrath for Opposing Infanticide

Floyd Mayweather

Since going public about the role that abortion played in the breakup of his relationship with ex-fiancee Shantel Jackson, world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather has faced the wrath of the liberal intelligentsia for doing what it is they fear most, defining abortion as infanticide. The most recent tirade comes from an article by Drew Jacobs, writer for the left-leaning creative arts website Classicalite, in which Mayweather is labeled as "atrocious" and a "horrible person."

As is so typical with progressive propaganda, Jacobs dares not take the issue of abortion or Mayweathers feelings head-on, but rather obscures the argument with references to a pawned purse, his friendship with Justin Bieber and the humiliation felt by Ms. Jackson. To further deflect what is a terrifyingly uncomfortable conversation for abortion advocates, he attacks his character and uses name calling in hopes that the public will first dislike the messenger, which then effectively invalidates anything the individual has to say related to the matter at hand.

What Mayweather said that caused such fear, anger and viciousness from the left is that he dared to define abortion as a tangible act, and not the benign phrasing of "choice" so coveted by progressives. "The reason Shantel Christine Jackson broke up was she got an abortion," Mayweather confided to V103 deejay Big Tigger, "and I'm totally against killing babies. She killed our twin babies."

It was the latter part of the statement that incensed progressives. In all of our national conversations regarding abortion, it is this component of the debate that the pro-abortion wishes to not acknowledge, that the act of abortion does in fact kill a baby, a human being. They cleverly utilize language designed to obscure this reality, thus enabling the citizenry to accept a practice that if thought about in depth, causes rational minds to reconsider their previously held positions on the subject. If we can rationalize to ourselves that what is occurring during an abortion is simply the termination of a "pregnancy," or preventing a "fetus or zygote" from full development, it makes the practice easier for us to live with. By using the words "killing babies," Floyd Mayweather equated the foundation of the liberal cultural agenda with infanticide, exposing himself to their wrath.

That Mayweather happens to be African-American creates a further threat to the left, which they feel must be aggressively attacked. Abortion has been the cornerstone of the progressive political agenda since its inception in the early part of the 20th century. The feelings of Planned Parenthood Founder Margaret Sanger and other abortion pioneers are well-documented. When it was acceptable to say so, they framed the early arguments for abortion as a mechanism of social Darwinism, in order to slow the birthrates of "human weeds and reckless breeders," in particular black Americans, and to create "a race of thoroughbreds" more desired for the future of the nation.

While it would be unfair to say these sentiments reflect the general feeling of abortion proponents in our age, there is still a distinct racial component to the movement, albeit tied to the larger goals of modern left-wing politics. The desensitization of abortion fits in with the progressive agenda of micromanaging all aspects of life for a large cross section of the black community. By making it easier to emotionally justify the act of terminating a babies life, it also makes it easier for young men to shirk the responsibilities of fatherhood and accept having the state, under the guise of the progressive social-welfare state, act in his stead.

While making up only 13% of the national population, black females make up 48% all abortions. This comes to roughly 488,000 children per year, not including women of other races impregnated by black men. If these numbers weren't horrifying enough, in a recent study by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, there were more black babies aborted (31.328) than were born (24,758). Even for much of the population that considers themselves "pro-choice" these have to be unacceptable figures. This disproportionate representation by the black community related to performed abortions is, as previously alluded, likely to play some role as to the frightening increase of single parent households among African-Americans. Whereas the national average stands at an already frightening 41%, within the black community this rate is 73% (compared to less than 25% in 1964.

This explains the need for the white, progressive intelligentsia to attack Mayweather with such veracity. While they generally steer clear of any cultural critique of the community their power depends on seducing, his comments threatened to let out a dirty little secret. The secret being that abortion has not only affected the growth and dynamism of the black community, but that liberal-progressive power is dependent on it continuing to be a common practice. He furthermore threatened the entire industry, which provides financial fortunes for so many institutional and individuals on the left. If any of us, particularly African-Americans, begin to think of abortion in terms of an act of killing a child, and not a symbol of female empowerment, Pandora box may be opened and minds just might change. This in turn may jeopardize the 90% hold progressives currently enjoy among the black community and would likely halt the rise in abortions seen within the Latino community. If this should occur, the entire power base of the Democratic Party would disintegrate.

Progressives recognize that they cannot win the debate by convincing the American people that the killing of a baby for the sake of convenience is just, simply because that child has yet to take its first unaided breath. Since the start of the movement, the only way they have been able to sell us on abortion is through emotion. Early on, they played on our racist feelings, and in the modern era on our desire to appear "open minded." They have successfully framed the issue as one of female empowerment, breaking the chains of a provincial paternal mindset. As it relates to the black community, they use callous economic justifications for continuing a practice that is reaching the point of killing more black children than are born. When Floyd Mayweather dared to expose abortion as infanticide, he became a threat that needed to be eradicated, and they've brought the wrath of Hades down on him to ensure his voice would be silenced and we could focus on more important things, such as Justin Bieber.

I’m suddenly a fan of the flamboyant boxer. Liberals are your friends until you disagree w/them. Good that Mayweather spoke about his pain.

Me too. I still think he dodged Paquiao, but you have to respect a man who stands up for life and faces the heat of the jackals, without apology.

Liberals can mock and flaunt their hatred of Christians. But how dare anyone speak out against Liberalism’s favorite sacrament: abortion.

And whats funny is more than a few of them will scream “meat (or fur) is murder” but take delight in a million infants slaughtered every year.

I know. I have yet to meet an animal rights proponent who is pro-life when it comes to unborn human children. I am sure they must exist. I just don’t know where to find one. They never see in irony in their beliefs.

They hate him for being upset that his own babies were murdered?

“Fiancee?” Really? A four-year engagement?

Surely we’re talking about the French royal family. She was young and he was the dauphine of France, so they had to wait.

Real Talk: there was no church booked and no wedding invitations. She wasn’t his “fiancee.” He sexed up a woman he wasn’t married to for four years. And even after he knocked her up, he still didn’t marry her.

You don’t get to cloak your shacking up, your baby mama, and your out-of-wedlock kids in a respectable word like “fiancee.”

He might very well be in pain, but no one is more responsible for his situation than himself.

And he’s definitely no hero.

Thats exactly why...because they dont want to acknowledge that it is in fact murder. They know exactly what it is..but their entire base of power depends on desensitizing people to it...particularly the black community, who theyve seduced into so much wickedness. So when he said that, they had to bring the forces of hell out against him.,

I'm not supporting Mayweather's morals in any way but saying he's right on abortion is not making him into a hero. He is responsible for the girl's pregnancy and I see no attempt by him to dodge his responsibility for the children. Although his home is quite dysfunctional, there is no doubt that those children would have at least had all the material goods they would ever need.
