1.) What a Coincidence!
The NRA Convention was held in downtown Indianapolis this year, between April 25th and 27th. There were over 75,000 in attendance, many of whom were legally armed. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police (IMPD) reported that Saturday the 26th was the most peaceful Saturday in the Month of April downtown. Provided by the IMPD, here are the stats for Saturday night problems during April:

Sounds to me as if someone needs to eat his own dog food, to use an industry phrase. These firearms should be mandatory for security details and bodyguards of all that state's politicians. And no one who voted for it should be allowed to purchase any other kind for personal protection.
It will never happen, of course. Liberal politics is all about Special Rules for Special People.
The government has always exempted itself from the firearms laws it forces on the rest of us, with the exception that NY accidentally wrote their last anti-gun law without one. They fixed it quickly.
