It is 100% clear that Cliven Bundy is not saying that blacks should be slaves picking cotton, but that the Federal government has created conditions for them so terrible, that their current situation may actually be worse. (If you are person of low intelligence, the fact that that is his point might be too hard for you to understand.) And he’s not blaming blacks for the issues of abortions, and crime and broken families, he’s blaming the Feds.

But it’s not as if he’s running for office! What Hannity, Beck, Drudge, etc.. must realize is that whatever the man says is what he feels! It may not seem politically correct, but he’s not running for office, is he? What do they expect; for people to leave him out in the desert to be tyrannized, just because he said something shocking?
Why don’t they take a moment to hear what he actually said? Sheesh! It seems to me they would be more concerned that we are being run by a bunch of tyrants who are running the country into a ditch, than a guy or gal that says something politically incorrect. Honestly, they did this to Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Phil Robertson among others!
Why do many so-called conservatives in the news bellyache about what someone says, then go into doom and gloom mode. They warn public figures to desert that person and leave them to suffer because they said something so terrible! All they have to do is ask him what he meant to say and maybe gently warn him to be careful of the media wolves that are out there to distort whatever he says?
This could happen to them themselves, or has in the past to a few,(people like Hannity, Beck, Drudge, etc..) and what would they do if people deserted them in their hour of need, just because they said something politically incorrect? Good grief! If the man said that and he was running for political office, they could choose to not support him. But this is a matter of life and death-not a matter of politics!
Well in spite of a few comments he’s made lately that I don’t like, (unfortunately)I’d definitely take him over Hillary, wouldn’t you? I didn’t think conservatives are supposed to be perfect without blemish, are they?

It wasn’t long ago that Phil Robertson said something that some conservatives on this board thought was foolish, and did the same thing to him! They did it to Sarah Palin, (George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh, too). They did it to her (Sarah Palin’s) oldest kid when she said something or did something they didn’t approve of! They said something like: “Sarah needs to stay home and take care of her kids, and not be out in the public making comments, blah, blah blah..”, (this is just paraphrasing, of course)this was coming from some people on this forum! Or- “Did you hear what Michele Bachmann just said, blah, blah, blah...”. Just pick a name and put it in the place of Sarah Palin, and that my friends is how you play this little game! (chuckle)

Seems to me, once Bundy wins a lawsuit against the NYT for defamation, he can pay his grazing fees. then again I think he has a pretty good argument about no paying those either. He maybe able to sue the BLM for murdering his cattle and damage to his property.
He's a millionaire rancher and nobody's fool. That's why I don't trust him acting like a fool, because he's not one. And nothing I said challenged his right to say what he wants, so you can stuff that back into the meme-spin drawer where you found it. Calling him a hayseed is a direct insult, so don't pretend to be protective of him. You're pushing an obvious as hell op, and it stinks.

The Bundy haters most certainly came around and unsuccessfully thought they could spread a negative support image of Bundy, frankly I thing support has quietly gained more support and traction.
More than likely it was Reid who asked some favors to dirty Bundy, and idiots like Hannity followed the wrong course because they would rather swallow sweet lies than taste the bitter truth.

Why yes, it does. His comments were horrendously inarticulate at best, racist at worst. That doesn't mean he is a hater, but I don't know his heart. My guess is he made what amounts to stupid, racist comments without realizing how much damage they'd do him. What I don't know (and neither do you) is whether he truly believes "the Negro" might be better off getting off the porch, learning to pick cotton and perhaps would have been off as slaves. Maybe he was just thinking out loud, maybe he is conflicted and was grasping for a way to explain his thoughts, I have no clue. Either way, these comments have basically destroyed his cause and tarnished anyone associated with him. You can try to pretend otherwise, but that just demonstrates how politically tone dead you are.

"A single cattle male or female" costs close to $5 per lb. in ground meat these days. Some steaks are up to $28 per lb.
Milk comes from dairy cows...or, female cattle. They are not being targeted by the BLM...yet...that I've heard. A gal of milk costs more than a gal of gasoline.
