Watch Bundy explain how we need to keep things from going backwards for blacks, and how the Federal government has created a neo-slave class via entitlement dependency that is so bad it is arguably worse than plantation slavery was.
It is 100% clear that Cliven Bundy is not saying that blacks should be slaves picking cotton, but that the Federal government has created conditions for them so terrible, that their current situation may actually be worse. (If you are person of low intelligence, the fact that that is his point might be too hard for you to understand.) And hes not blaming blacks for the issues of abortions, and crime and broken families, hes blaming the Feds.

Not surprising. It’s not news, it’s propaganda.
And tomorrow, we’ll examine in depth the man’s views on Globull Warming.
OK, got ya. I do trust myself. the Freepers that are against me/us on this issue, I couldn’t care less. I respect people that don’t follow liberal memes. As for Bundy, he said what 90% of this site says every time they use the term “Liberal plantation”. Having thought the issue through and having blacks in my immediate family I see no REAL racism. I see a man from another era speaking without a PC filter. And I see a political lynching unfolding.
Bundy’s comments pale in comparison to those made by liberals against whites and conservatives.
They pale also to comments libs make about blacks daily. See the Biden/Reid crap for proof positive. And Byrd. And...
And frankly, I agree with his comments that the Government has enslaved blacks via welfare, etc.. I've said much the same thing for years now. Blacks are on the Democrat Plantation. They keep voting D because it's all they know to do at this point.
Anyone or anything that deprives one of self-autonomy destroys body, mind and soul. I would put drug addiction into the category of slavery.
I would venture to say that Mr. Bundy has gone to bed bone tired, with every muscle aching, more nights than not, but with a heart full of gratitude for the freedom to enjoy the fruits of working so hard that it hurts. He was not expressing racism, IMHO, but pain at the inability of so many of his fellow men to have the opportunity to do likewise.
So the man's not a great orator...I'll take the in-artful statement of a man who knows how to work over the soaring rhetoric of an elitist snake any day.
That was Trent Lott .
“This is the wrong fight, at the wrong place, for the wrong reason.”
And for too many, it always will be. The real men, the ones who founded this nation, would have been shooting a long time ago. Perhaps Obamacare will pick up the tab for your new spine.
Oh I agree. It’s coming. And there will be a number of idiots here saying SEE!!!!SEE!!!!...never once thinking the guy was set up.
Careful, you’ll “offend” him ;)
IMO, stupid is not understanding the point he tried to make. I agree with what he was trying to say.
Many thanks DanMiller!

How true!
Let me give some of you a perspective from this half ‘white’ man!
The Blacks get a lot of laughter from the politically correct crowd, tying themselves into knots, trying their best not to offend.
Negro, Colored .. These were perfectly acceptable not too many years past and are not unacceptable to many blacks and institutions today!
It is all a game to catch ‘whitey’, see how tied up in his ‘stupidity’ and political correctness you can get him!
You can find a way to be ‘offended’ .. when you want to be offended and word play is an excellent way to hook a ‘guilt ridden whitey’!
Words are an excellent way to play the ‘Gotcha Game’ and most especially when the words are changed as often as you change your underwear!
(Oh and the ‘other’ N word .. guess who uses it in everyday life the most?)
It’s all a game!
Do you believe the average person thinks "the Negro" is in dire straights because they haven't learned how to "pick cotton" and that they may have been better off as slaves? Seriously? If this is what the average conservative thinks, and I am quite certain it is not, then we are never going to make any political headway.
We are all busy, so that understanding can only be achieved by a small minority of policy wonks.
Correct, which is precisely why, especially considering the information age we live in, the average person does not make for a good political candidate (unless they are exceptionally charismatic with no history of boneheaded statements). It's why conservatives need to stop rallying around people like Herman Cain for President when there was never any chance he could win a general election. It's why this fantasy of Ben Carson for President is silly.
Yeah, yeah, I know we'd all like the notion of the citizen legislator envisioned by the founders, but it simply isn't a legitimate political reality. No matter that people always say they want a regular person to run, in the end they generally vote for the more polished candidate- ie, a skilled politician who typically worked their way up from the local level to something higher and a demonstrated record of being able win elections.
How do you handle this personally? Your tongue must be raw from 'clamping down' if you take your own advice
Personally I don't think "the Negro" is suffering because they didn't learn to pick cotton and might have been better off as slaves. That's a pretty dumb thing to say, no matter what broader point Bundy was attempting to make.
So I think that Bundy did us all a favor by saying what he did
Bundy's comments single handedly set back the land rights movement for perhaps years. Something like this at the Bundy ranch, while not the perfect symbol, seemed poised to generate more such fights against the government with a public that seemed at least somewhat sympathetic to Bundy as a figure head. His idiotic comments destroyed all that. Now it will take another flareup to generate the critical mass necessary to propel this fight into something bigger and more significant.
I just don't understand how so many well meaning conservatives can't see this. It's truly baffling. We have GOT to do a better job of vetting our candidates and closely scrutinizing people like Bundy before we rally around them and associate conservatives with someone who might be a political ticking time bomb set to splash egg on the face of every conservative that stuck their neck out to support him.
Good post. Not many know this.
