The Earth hasn’t warmed in 17 years. The Arctic ice cap haven’t melted by 2013 as Al Gore suggested in 2007. Instead like the Antarctic ice cap it has grown. Nearly every computer model created by global warming scientists has turned out to be a massive exaggeration if not outright false. Despite all of this the UN has doubled down on their extremist global warming/climate change theories. Meanwhile Adam Weinstein of Gawker wants to imprison “climate change deniers.” Rather than have a spirited scientific debate, Weinstein wants the matter declared settled science. As George Will mused several months back, when politicians declare science settled they’ve lost. That ought to be extended to political operatives.

I was thinking of the inquisition and the belief that the sun rotated around the earth, which was the center of the universe. And how the church accused anyone such as Galileo of heresy if they taught otherwise.

There is a difference between having faith and having proof.
If globul warmimg arlarmist are so afraid, seems it would make them feel better to hear some hard evidence that global warming is simply a marketing campaign.
But no amount of evidence will change their minds. They will keep spending money on ‘green’ products and keep feeding those whose livelihood depends on keeping the myth alive.
If I thought wife was dying, and a Dr came to reassure me that she will be OK, I would be overjoyed.
Globul warming is a religion. Its beleivers have faith. If you tell a muslim that he will not see alah and 72 virgins if he bombs a bus, he will not believe you.
The rules for bloggers on FR are the same as the rules for everyone else. If you are a good conservative activist and are willing to work with US on OUR goals and causes and not against US, then you’re welcome to post to FR. But unless we say otherwise your blog material should be posted to our bloggers forum and it would be best if you do not excerpt your own material and if you would actually join in on the discussion here on FR. We’re not really that interested in driving OUR traffic to YOUR blog. But if our readers see that you post useful information then they might start reading your site and that’s fine by me.

Clearly Adam Weinstein is completely ignorant of the history of science. They locked up Galileo for denying what the 99% “consensus” of existing “scientists” had to say about the fundamental “settled science” of astronomy that the Sun rotated around the Earth, but the Earth continued to rotate around the sun anyway.
A few of the other scientists who correctly bucked the 99% consensus and thereby revolutionized their respective sciences were, Louis Pasteur, Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, Alfred Wegener, Antoine Lavoisier, Robert T. Bakker, and Robin Warren and Barry J. Marshall. Fortunately for humanity, though, psychotic mass murders like Adam Weinstein weren’t put in charge of slaughtering scientific heretics during those times.
Adam Weinstein should try reading “The Structure of Scientific Revolutions” by Thomas Kuhn and he MIGHT realize that the history of science is nothing BUT the 99% consensus of WRONG scientists being overturned by the 1% minority with truth on their side.
