29-Year-Old Welfare Parasite Would Not Accept An $80,000 A Year Job Driving A Truck

What should be done with a 29-year-old welfare parasite that believes that in addition to practicing with his rock band, his main job in life is to "make sure the sun's up and the girls are out"? Most people that receive government assistance truly need the help and do not abuse the system, but there are definitely others that do abuse the system and do not make any excuses for doing so. When 29-year-old Jason Greenslate was recently asked if he would be willing to take a job driving a truck in North Dakota for $80,000 a year, he said that he would not. He would rather keep purchasing sushi and lobster with his EBT card and hanging out with his rock band. Greenslate seems very happy with his taxpayer-funded lifestyle, and he says that he wants "to thank the United States of America, and the situation — the way things are set up". Is this really what we pay taxes for? The rest of us are taxed into oblivion so that we can fund the endless partying of parasites like Jason Greenslate? What in the world is happening to this country?

That dude couldn't be trusted to drive a truck or even touch anyone's property.

I imagine his parents must be so proud of the little weasel cockroach.

I saw this guy interviewed on Hannity a few nights ago. I never wanted to reach through the screen and slap the coon dog s#!t out of anyone like I wanted to thrash that bum.

If I was younger I would certainly take an $80,000 dollar job driving a truck! IN North Dakota!

You’re right. They all abuse the system. Every last one of them, because that’s how the system is set up. Any money that’s made on the side (under the table) is NEVER reported as it supposed to be. Every single one of them know how the game is played and the social service people who are supposed to catch the cheaters are a complete joke.

People like this guy are the same as those lab animals who have been trained to hit the lever to get a pellet. Hit the lever, get a pellet. When the system collapses, they will be furiously sliding their EBT cards through the slot over and over—exactly like the lab animals banging that lever over and over even after the scientists and their pellets have gone away.

Don't be hard on yourself. There are some honest, moral barristers but I think both of them are on house arrest at the moment./ ;-)

I have friends making $100,000k working in fracking here in SW PA. Long hours, hard work but it's there.

There’s something else going on here besides government largesse meeting human laziness. Our society is facing a fundamental shortage of (paid) work. With the technology-based productivity that we have to day — and more coming — it takes less than 10% of the population to produce all the stuff that we can sensibly fit into our lives. Our economy has to adjust to a situation where most people don’t have “jobs” in the agricultural and industrial sense, but find some other way of trading value with other people.

Unfortunately the structural rigidity of government regulations, union practices, and plain old habits built up over the years means that we’re not moving to the new economy fast enough to avoid serious problems.

people ... find some other way of trading value with other people

And which way of trading value has Jason Greenslate found?

Why public works can't be installed? Paying allowance for a young able-bodied person, no matter if it is in money or natural form, makes no sense. Offer them public jobs instead: there is always some garbage to be collected, lawns to be trimmed and toilets to be cleaned. This full-time work could be a mandatory condition for receiving a welfare enough for minimal lifestyle.

This institution can also blow away the illegals from the job market. Double profit.

why don’t you go drive a truck in idaho? I make about that as well and I am seriously questioning why I work so many hours for that same money while others get more wealthy...

And the “New Testament Only” crowd:

“Most people that receive government assistance truly need the help and do not abuse the system”

Bullshit.

You are absolutely correct.

I lived in a welfare town for 18 long years and was never so glad as the day we moved. We saw welfare abuse constantly and never once saw anyone who had to have it because they *couldn't* work.

I only heard one report ever in my entire life of a person who was on welfare for that reason and the guy had some kind of degenerative nerve wasting disease, was wheelchair bound and slowly dying. His wife supplemented with stuff from the garden and by canning and putting food up and was taking care of him and their children.

But other than that, I can't think of a legitimate case where someone needed it.

Yeah - but wouldn’t be sweet to have just enough success to lose all of his benefits?

Biggest problem is there is NO way to fix this as it lies.

Have to start by enforcing the employment practices and drop all illegals from the pay rolls or put the law in effect that ‘punishes’ people that hire them.

Then start running them out of the country while securing the borders or at least attempting to secure them.

Now that some jobs are opened up, you start testing the beneficiaries for drug use, ‘maladies’ or so called illnesses, drop them from the public assistance rolls.

Clean up the SS Disability laws and run the slackers out of the program.

Start dropping the unemployment ‘benefit’ back to a reasonable length of time that would allow someone to get gainful employment.

Somewhere in this mix have a huge push for term limits - NOW if the slackers blame the people for ‘dropping them’ that they thought had been looking out for them, term limits isn’t needed...My late friend “The COL” didn’t believe in term limits per se he had the belief that the voting booth was true term limits.

There are cheats in every facet of our lives...and this ahole is one of them. Not everyone who depends on food stamps is a cheat... Go into one of the church sponsored food pantries and see the array of elderly, disabled, sick, out of work moms and dads and their kids, people who need help with getting enough food for their families. For those whose income has been drastically cut, the pantry is a God send. Yes, the pos in OUR White House is responsible for the large amount of illegal aliens who show up at these pantries, but for those citizens who truly are in need, I give thanks to God. You'll never know how it is to be short on food and worried to death, until you experience the hunger and fear yourself.
