Meh. Any person who becomes famous or infamous, for whatever reason, will receive threatening letters/email/phone calls. Producing evidence of them does not in any way prove that a person is actually in any danger, just that there are sad, unbalanced people out there who use anonymity as a cloak for behavior that they couldn’t do face-to-face.

Get that? Not only will Ms. Lerner not testify if called to do so without immunity from prosecution, but the very act of calling her to testify endangers not only her life, but those of her family as well. Just calling her to testify could result in her death or dismemberment, you understand.
