"We gave an oath to the state of Ukraine, not an oath to one particular general, and certainly not one from another country," Major Rostislav Lomtev told the Guardian from inside the base.
The Russians duly disappeared. But not for long. They would be back later. The resolution to this standoff remains precariously inconclusive...
The troops may not wear insignia on their uniforms, but they arrived in trucks with Russian military plates and are well armed. Privately, the commanders admitted to Ukrainian troops that they were Russian regular troops. Given that some of them were personally acquainted, there was not much point in hiding it.
As Major Lomtev in Feodosia put it: "We know a lot of them, because we have done a lot of joint exercises together and have close links with them. To be honest, I don't think they are very proud of the orders they are carrying out at the moment."
lol

So let’s say that Putin takes the East and keeps that half of the pipelines flowing to the EU.
The West shuts down their half, and the EU turns to Putin who says, “The gas is flowing from Russia into Ukraine. It’s not Russia that is stopping it from getting to you.”
What will the EU do then?
Just curious as to others’ thoughts.

Noticed that one section of the sign is written in Ukrainian and the other in russian.
It’s time to wage economic warfare on Russia. It’s not quick but issuing the permits for the LNG liquidification facility at Cove Point, Md and for the one on the gulf of Mexico would enable us to ship LNG to Europe and end Russia’s economic strangle hold. Turkey has an LNG conversion facility near the Bosporus. It’s not far from the point where Turkey receives gas from Ukraine. Flow could be reversed to provide another source of natural gas, American, to Ukraine.
That would also complicate Iran’s plan to furnish gas to Turkey. American natural gas could effectively deprive Russia of the money needed to modernize their military and eliminate some of the excessive cash flow into the Middle East that ends up financing terrorism.
What if putin stops the gas from entering Western Ukraine? I'd say this is something he would do.
Shutting the pipelines could perhaps force the EU into doing something for the Ukrainians other than sell them out like they did with the attempted Yanukovych deal that the Maidan told them to shove
And the financial chaos alone that this is already causing can set the world back into a deeper depression. DC needs to be tied up in impeachment proceedings and full investigations into Obama's background.
Yes he is a huge embarrassment, but I hope enough people in the world realize that there are tons of people in America that are totally opposed to him, and everything he stands for.
