Born on this date in 1793, Sam Houston was governor of Tennessee, president of the Republic of Texas twice, and later senator and governor of the state of Texas, and a leader in the war of independence between Texas and Mexico. Today we raise the flag of Texas in his honor.

Governor Sam was right.
My Beloved State of Texas was wrong.
But I will support a political fight
to regain States’ Rights...
Will it lead to a different “union”...
or separation. I don’t know the answer.
Part of the answer may be:
Jurisdiction stripping, also called curtailment of jurisdiction or court stripping, refers to the congressional practice of defining the jurisdiction of the United States federal judiciary as to eliminate its ability to hear certain classes of claims, thereby making certain legislative or executive actions unreviewable by the federal judiciary, but still potentially reviewable by state courts.

Yeah he was right both in supporting states rights and in opposing the war. Sadly he lost his son to that war.

Today most of the country needs to secede from Washington. At least till they decide to follow the constitution again.
