SARASOTA, FloridaThe National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) just held its winter meeting here, and the wealthy beachfront communities that dot the coast are typically considered one of the beating hearts of the Establishment GOP's donor community. Tonight, though, it's Cruz country. An event originally scheduled as a small rally for potential 2016 presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) mushroomed into a major political event after nearly 2,000 people RSVP'd online. We are shocked at the level of interest that weve received for doing this rally, Sarasota GOP chairman Joe Gruters told Breitbart News. Its obvious that the state is aware that he is listening, and theyre excited about what Ted Cruz is saying and it certainly cuts across the bow of the establishment in D.C., which is maybe not trying to stifle what Sen. Cruz is saying but certainly that Cruz is getting so much attention at the local level in a county like Sarasota shows you that hes a major player and that people should watch out for and everything that the guy is doing, he added. Cruz opened his remarks here with one his signature phrases. I spent all of last week in Washington, D.C.," he said. "It is great to be back in America. Following what will now be a sizable rally at the Sarasota Hyatt participants are already lining up like Black Friday campers at Best Buy, one organizer emailed Cruz will attend a $500 per person VIP fundraiser and, to wrap up the evening, a $5,000 per couple private donor dinner. The fundraising proceeds are going to the Sarasota County GOP party. Organizers say 1,800 people signed up for the rally and at least 200 for the dinner.

Sarah Palin seems to smoke out the cowardly RINOs, too.
Wow! This guy could be the first Hispanic to ever be nominated for President of the United States.
I have not listened to a word Ann Coulter has said since she fell in love with Mitt Romney in early 2012.
The rhinos tremble

I’m thinking you meant RINOs.
I just wish Ted would get a more stylish hair cut. The “greaser” styles went out long ago.
....make no mistake about it, the Mainstream Liberal Republican establishment hates Senator Cruz and everything he stands for....

Exactly! That’s why I can’t understand how so many Texas Freepers can support Dan Patrick for Lt. Gov. in the GOP Primary. He hates Ted Cruz and was rooting for David Dewhurst in 2012.
Well, call me a pessimist.
But I have serious doubts. I think Hispanics are for the most part, as committed to the rapid expansion of the welfare state. I believe they will vote D, rather than “Cruz”.
I do certainly hope that YOU are right, however!!!!
Florida and Ohio for sure.
I feel sorry for all the campaign commercials those poor folks will have to endure in 2016.
I would love to find out
Who's Ann Coulter? Oh yeah, the skinny blond who used to be a conservative...she's dead to me.
Indeed she does. It's why almost none of them came to her defense when the press was roasting her and her family alive. The GOP-e hates her even more than the Dems.
Now that is a fair point.
But we need to hear from Ohio before we call it game over.
Well, I’d rather see that then some of these spiked ‘do’s these guys are getting. However, generally the closer they get to actually running the final sprint to the Whitehouse then that’s when the stylists etc. come in....though I guess they never did for Kerry or Romney....they both just have too much hair!
It doesn’t matter to me. Romney has great hair, but it’s no measure of his character.
