Obama deciding on which news sources allowed for Americans

If you like your radio talk show don’t be surprised if you can’t keep it. Obama’s Federal Communication Commission wants to place monitors in news rooms to decide which stories are selected, station priorities, content production, population served, perceived station bias and perceived percent of news dedicated to each of the “critical information” needs of a community.

King Hussein and his unaccountable bureaucrats (socialists) from the Federal Collectivist Communications.

(guess who)...

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

We can make a difference if we stand up with those who are trying to retain our freedom of the press. There are millions of us but we need to have our voice heard.

Those who don’t want to sign petitions can call their congresspersons and let them know you are for press freedom against what the FCC is trying to do.

This kind of post is against Free Republic’s rules of conduct.

Yes, your excerpting in order to drive traffic to a known
risk & virus-laden site is indeed frowned upon by the management here.

You might consider just posting the full content here.

It could lead to you being banned.

The list of people objecting to Examibloggers versus the list of Examibloggers banned is quite one-sided.

I suggest you read the rules before posting derogatory and inflammatory posts.

Thanks for not asking me for a blog-hit to read your suggestion.

Because your writing is worth getting computer AIDS.

Now we're talking. Thanks.

The site is included in the article.

It's not an article, it's a blog post you wrote.

Why not just post the petition link here, without trying to trick folks into paying you a blog hit to see it?

We can make a difference. Over 50,000 people have already signed the online petition and many more are calling their congresspersons. Some Congresspeople are now becoming involved after being contacted by citizens.

Same here. My Senators are Flake and McCain, my Rat “Representative” brags about being the first openly bisexual Representative in the House.

I am not represented.

"..Oh wait it says “congress” so if the President does it with the FCC that’s perfectly okay (/sarc)...

you joke, but, I wouldn't be surprised even a little bit to hear Obama and the LSM saying that with a straight face.

We had a great morning drive show here on the Pittsburgh Market's Clear Channel Station until November of last year.

One morning, I turned on the radio to find out that a show that was going national was suddenly off the air. The replacement was some bush-league talent who calls himself "Bloom Daddy."

Yeah, just what we needed: yet another station bellyaching about how the Steelers won or blew their last game. The ratings are so poor, that I now hear advertising for how you can win a $50,000 grand prize just for listening. So, they now have to bribe people to listen to the damn replacement show in addition to having most of their audience leave?

This is NOT a business move, people. No way in hell.

Interesting. Thanks for posting. A friend of mine keeps talking about a similar incident about a station that he likes in Northern Michigan. I’ll pass this along to him at work tomorrow.

What you describe is what we will get if the FCC starts deciding what listeners are allowed to hear. Some talk shows are already getting pressure from the FCC but so far most have not backed down.

There are some national radio talk shows that are available on the Internet and more will be coming on line. I heard that you can also obtain them with an IPHONE and IPAD but haven’t checked that out as well using the computer and Internet.

We need to make our voices heard by signing the petition.

Then why not post it here if it's important?

Why direct traffic to your AIDS-infested Examiner Blog to access it?

Got a good answer for that?
