First conservative icon Thomas Sowell turned on Ted Cruz, now it appears that Ann Coulter is souring on the Texas Republican as well.
Sowell published two columns this week slamming Cruz for being self-serving. Coulter praised the first of Sowell’s columns in a tweet Wednesday.
Later, in an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” Wednesday night, Coulter doubled down on her praise of Sowell’s anti-Cruz column: ”I never push anyone else’s column but mine. Today everyone has got to read Thomas Sowell’s article.” During the “Hannity” segment, Coulter attacked tea party groups for being filled with “shysters” and “conmen,” naming specifically the Senate Conservatives Fund as an example. The Senate Conservatives Fund was a key outside group that supported Cruz in his fight to “Defund Obamacare” last fall, which ultimately led to a government shutdown.
“And these people are just trying to get money off good Americans by saying we’re going after ‘establishment Republicans,” Coulter complained about tea party groups like the Senate Conservatives Fund. “How about going after Democrats?”
“Do not trust anyone who says they are trying to defeat ‘establishment Republicans,’” she added.
Without mentioning Cruz by name, Coulter railed against tea partiers who fail to understand that the “only way to repeal Obamacare is to elect Republicans.”
“It is not to be fighting against Republicans,” she said.
Coulter seems to be referring to Cruz’s recent threat of a filibuster earlier this month when a House bill to raise the debt ceiling came to the Senate floor.

Cruz's speech served to concretely call the GOP leadership's bluff on repealing Obamacare and rolling back the tide out of control Federal spending.

Coulter sold out when she supported Romney as the establishment selection. She also acts like an immature 12 year old so she can sell more books.

Ab. So. Lutely. I think Ann has a good point here. We should not get so wrapped up in any one person in the movement. Remember how so, so many were fully vested in Sarah Palin? Remember what a let down she was? A lot of people openly thought afterward that it all might have been a publicity stunt. May have been.
You can’t trust any politician or public figure 100%. Don’t try to and you’ll save yourself the embarrassment and lost hope.
I don't see where Coulter is any different from the other Obama guard-dog "conservatives" on Fx News. I don't think that were going to be hearing anything about Congress's constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers from Coulter in the foreseeable future. (Beware of Fx News blondes!)
Look. This is NOT ABOUT Sowell or Coulter. I'm smelling a rat here. With a clear agenda AGAINST TED CRUZ. What with inflammatory headlines and weak arguments, this is nothing but piss-poor attacks on Senator Cruz. Little Jamie here is trying (successfully, I might add) to create arguments and chaos within the Tea Party.

I don’t know how this hag has had a shred of credibility among real conservatives for the last few years.
How many Tea Party candidates have been sabotaged by the GOPe, clearing the way for Democrats to win? Did Ann complain, or did she jump on the GOPe bandwagon to scold conservatives for not choosing perfect candidates, like her boy Christie.
Primaries are for infighting, and contesting the values and principles of the party. Tea Party elements, along with other conservatives aren’t the only ones attacking Republicans. The GOPe wouldn’t know how to fight, if not for fighting against conservatives, because they sure don’t fight Democrats. I give you the last two presidential elections as an example.
Both her and Limbaugh like to live amongst liberals and live the liberal lifestyle, but they play conservatives on the radio and TV.
