TacCon 3MR Trigger Review [video only]

The TacCon 3MR trigger is a drop in system that allows the user to fire their AR15 rifle more quickly that a standard trigger allows for. The TacCon 3MR requires no modification to your rifle and the result is a very streamline and integrated system. It's an alternative to the popular bumpfire stocks.

Not as fast as a bumpfire stock but looks interesting.
Seems controllable and may get faster with practice.
Still, $495 is a bit steep for me. Probably have a hard time finding one at that price, too.

From the website:

3 Mode Drop-In Trigger
3rd Mode Has a Positive Reset Characteristic
Semi Auto is a Match Grade 4 1/2 Pound Pull Rate
Offers Zero Take-Up & No Overtravel
$495.00 Retail
Components are Full EDM & CNC’d in House
Components are Coated with NP3 (Nickel Teflon)
3 Mode Billet Selector Included
BATFE Compliant/Non-NFA Letter

The TacCon 3MR requires no modification to your rifle

So do you drop the trigger down the barrel, or open the breech?.

It’s a spray. You just spray it on, like clutch cheese.

The slide fire works like a hose.

Heh. I’ve shot the Slide-Fire stock and, while it was fun, it was definitely a “spray-n-pray” unit. Even in the stock locked position, it wobbled a little, making accuracy problematic at 50-100yds. Still, it was fun.

I have had no issues with it.
Seems stable when locked and controllable when in the bump position.

This is more controllable than a bump stock, but it is still an expensive novelty item. I would rather use the money to get more ammo.

You can pre-order from their site. Delivery is late March or 1st of April, per TacCon’s site:

I’ll be working at Freedom Armory on Thu-Fri, and will talk to Scott about availability and employee discount, plus check out incoming ammo loads. I’m going to snag a few cases of ammo and mil-spec mags.

Do you have a good FFL / Gunsmith and machine shop, for minor tweaks, if needed? I read comments below YT Vid, and there are some possible machining tweaks might be needed if AR isn’t mil-spec internal trigger.

Jut called Freedom Armory and left a message for Scott, so h know what I’m after; he’ll call back tomorrow or Wed. I also be down the the southern end of county on errands, anyway, and ill take my weapons along for fitting if he has any in stock.

I’ll be on TGO Thur, via loading dock w/Dad’s HP lapper, so I’ll keep you posted. Wish they made one for the AR-10 and Beowulf.

They’ll come don in price once production ramps up, and the market determines a fair price for them. Might take a while, but it’ll happen. Plus some refinements will be added. I see them dropping to around $410-425 within a few months. Patience, grasshopper. Let me see what Scott thinks about the piece and price point.

FTS! It should jump out of the box into my AR for that price.
