Man Killed by Cockfighting Rooster

Jose Ochoa died after a rooster stabbed him in the leg during an illegal cockfight near Tulare County, Calif.
The rooster had a razor-like knife attached to its leg, which the birds use to fight each other to the death, notes LA Weekly.
Ochoa may have lost too much blood by fleeing the police and waiting to be taken to the Delano Regional Medical Center.

I guess it would have been around 1950 when we lived on a farm. We had chickens which basically just roamed around the place. One morning Mother was feeding them when the rooster attacked and spurred her in the knee.
It happened to be very painful. Within a minute or two there was a dead rooster as Daddy shot it. We had fried rooster for Dinner that day.
