(snip) The story unfolds: Traveling by commercial airlines from Albuquerque, NM to LasVegas,NV, (Police Chief) Harger was asked by TSA to show his credentials. Minutes later a man flashed a badge claiming to be a federal agent (agency unknown) also demanding to see Hargers credentials.
(snip)
The following morning, Harger was informed by Sheriff Douglas C. Wood of Sandoval County, New Mexico, that Harger was to dismantle the Jamez Springs Police Department. (be sure to click through and read the whole thing)

Nutjob Conspiracy Worthy?
(The /why/ he was detained.)
I was interested in finding out where a NM Sheriff derives the authority to order a city police department to disband and order a city to fire it’s police chief.
It appears from the Jemez Springs Police Department web page (http://www.jemezsprings.org/police.html), that they are a sheriff’s substation. Which would lead me to believe that it is within the sheriff’s authority.
Still scratching my head about this though. Seems like wrongful termination to me.
Maybe. I kept digging & found this from today

Harger & Mack were interviewed on this but I didn’t watch it. Wondering now where the hype came from. Shameful they didn’t update this story.
The names on his driver’s license and boarding pass didn’t match.
The two name thing sounds like a very legit reason for the TSA to raise an eyebrow and question him.
What did you make of “was the first to arrive at former APD officer Levi Chavez’s home the night Chavez’s wife Tera was found dead” as the reason for the name change?
Holy crap. Seems like he stepped into a scorpion nest.

yes, even the “Common Core” curriculum has references that say all “right wing ‘radical’ groups” are recognized as extremists.
The simple truth...all across America....hundreds of local town and county law enforcement agencies....are corrupt. We all know this, and continually harp on this. Nothing much happens....unless a newspaper steps in and prints the stories to change the voting trends.

I was interested in finding out where a NM Sheriff derives the authority...
*****************************
A County Sheriff is the top law enforcement officer in his County. The County is his jurisdiction and his authority overrides a police chief’s.
Alex Jones says he was going to a “Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA) convention taking place in Las Vegas. CSPOA is an organization headed up by Sheriff Richard Mack under which law enforcement officers gather to re-affirm their commitment to uphold and defend the Constitution.”
I don’t follow conspiracy theories closely, but there may be more to this than what is seen at first glance.
Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping!
To get onto The Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping List you must threaten to report me to the Mods if I don't add you to the list...
I sure hope one of the conservative constitution loving law firms out there will take up this man’s case
Not enough info for me to tell, but it looks like a police department that wouldn’t be subverted was eliminated on a pretext.
yup that’s what it seems to me... disbanded because they didn’t agree with el dictator
I caught that, too. Didn’t come across it at Jones’ site, but saw it cross-linked and waited for updates before posting.
I still have yet to watch/listen to the interview & plan on that today. Given the link I updated in the thread, who knows what the deal is here without more info.
But I agree; there may very well be more to this...just apparently not what the ‘updated’ story asserted.
