People name their wifi routers and cell phone hotspots crap like that all the time. I could name my wifi router “Super Secret NSA Division 1 Watching Your Every Move” and someone would probably think that it’s really the NSA outside there house.

I think somebody’s neighbor has put a spoof name on their home Wi-Fi network.

There’s a wifi hotspot on the way through a small southern town that’s named ‘FBI Van’.
LOL.
Your neighbors are futzing with you.
To: cleghornboy
And, did you go knock on their door of their van and ask them their business? As public servants, they should be able to articulate the reason for thier presence.

Or it was a joker naming his router. I've occasionally given my extra routers some odd names for fun. It is amazing how many people will try to use an open router named "Free Porn Server". To bad for them it wasn't hooked up to a network.

Ignorance and paranoia are best friends. One of my neighbors has his router named FBIhomesurveillance. Mine is Muggles so the Ministry of Magic will leave us alone.

My neighbor doesn’t control Site Meter. And the feds have been monitoring my Blog.

It would keep a few from trying to glom onto your wifi.

The feds don’t need a van to monitor a blog.

I’ve named mine
“Unavailable”
It’s secured anyway but it gets the point across.
