The Startling New Way Big Brother Is Tracking Your Health
January 28, 2014 by B. Christopher Agee
As ObamaCare continues to eat away at the private American healthcare system that the rest of the world once envied, the federal government now has a hand in virtually all aspects of the medical industry.
The intrusion is well-documented and is not limited to any particular federal agency.
Among the most recent developments is the Environmental Protection Agencys promise to scour social media posts for clues about potential outbreaks of disease. Apparently taking a page out of the NSAs playbook, the EPA announced last week that it is seeking a contractor capable of scanning millions of Twitter posts for users posting specific symptoms.
According to reports, the agency is interested in tracking cases of acute gastroenteritis infections or AGI to determine where the disorder is most prevalent. In a public notice, the EPA offered a number of search terms for the prospective contractor to look for, including [s]tomach flu, stomach bug, stomach ache, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
The apparent mission involves comparing results from Twitter with studies conducted by the Centers for Disease Control. Of course, the social media site is known to be the home of countless saboteurs and wiseacres who could easily skew results, thus invalidating any of the contractors findings.
Nonetheless, the EPA appears anxious to begin the project. Considering the emphasis on influenza, this could be an effort to further indoctrinate Americans with the ostensible benefits of the flu vaccine.

This is the act of a government that is just looking for things to spend money on.
This is a duplication off efforts begun by the CDC decades ago. The fear during the cold war was that the Soviet Union or China would attack using biological weapons and the government would not be fast enough to respond. The objective was to identify a threat using death certificates.
I feel physically ill when I hear 0bama speak. Tweet, and repeat. Perhaps they’ll declare him an environmental hazard.
I'm actually feeling much better....

OCFS ('Obama Chronic Fatigue Syndrome')
" If President 0bama really wants 0bamacare to be fully implemented, he should push for full medical benefits for Obama Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. OCFS is a complicated disorder with symptoms of depression, headache, nausea, aversion to TV and radio news, fear of the IRS, NSA and extreme pain in the ears upon hearing words and phrases such as Benghazi, Egypt, Syria, Fast & Furious, Solyndra, Immigration Amnesty and Joe Biden.
The symptoms of 0bama Chronic Fatigue Syndrome do not decrease with rest or sleep and sufferers usually awaken each day saying to themselves I just had this horrible dream and oh crap, it wasnt a dream, he still is president.
There is no one test to confirm a diagnosis of OCFS. You may have to undergo a variety of medical tests to rule out other health problems, but if you voted for anyone other than 0bama in the last two presidential elections, you probably have it.
The cause of chronic OCFS is well known it is President Obama. The cure is simple but medical and political experts disagree on best method of treatment. "
"A more difficult treatment is Presidential Impeachment as it has only been tired two times and never been successful. The most probable cure of OCFS is patience and time. "

Whenever BO appears on the TV screen, my wife and I race for the remote to change channels.
This is not the EPA's role, and is a duplication of effort, competing with the CDC.
I think I know why.
The CDC has been somewhat careful to be confined to hard sciences (witness the Obama-ordered firearms study that did not render the results the administration wanted), whereas the EPA is a willing whore to communism and fascism.
The CDC is likely to be de-emphasized by this administration -- they are not compliant enough -- in favor of the EPA taking over their roles.
... because nothing says "Disease Control" like "Environmental Protection".
Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping!
To get onto The Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping List you must threaten to report me to the Mods if I don't add you to the list...
The Obama Media Group is up with a new message that all is forgiven and Republicans are jumping on the Obamacare train.
Wary of Obamacare, some Republicans sign up anyway

Bet we can have a lot of fun if every FReeper starts tweeting about a bubonic plague outbreak in Saginaw, Michigan.
There’s a really great book titled “The Ghost Map” about using death notices and statistical analysis to pin down the source of the 1850s cholera epidemic in London.
I don’t have that big of a problem with this; social media trends analysis could provide a big advantage to nipping what would otherwise be a nasty epidemic or even pandemic in the bud. And something like the 1918 Spanish Flu WILL hit us again ...
I DO have a problem with this being done by the EPA. It should be the CDC, esp if the CDC already has such an effort underway. The only way I see this being something for EPA is if they’re using it as an obscured way of aligning health reactions to something environmental. Like pollution hot spots. Such as tracking impacts of that bad OH River chem spill a couple weeks back. But they should just come out and say so and be forced to make their case ...
The EPA is too politcally connected to the spite House to do an adequate job of tracking disease.
Recently , it has come to light that there is a free exchange of emails between EPA and "the Greenies " movement, thus showing undo influence.
They have already demonstrated governmental "over-reach" in regards to the coal industry, the production of energy ,
the control of all waterways, and most recently , the realigning of State boundaries.
Last night about the time some bozo was making a speech, a big boil popped up on my left buttocks.
after all we live in a ‘transparent’ society run by a ‘transparent’ admin
I am going to post pictures of all things fatty and chocolaty and sugary ;)
