Either way, we lose. Prob best to keep them apart. :-)
She’s in Thought Catalog, wow!
What is Thought Catalog? A pennysaver with liberal commentary?
Yeah, there are alot of women (including men) who came of age at the beginning of the Women’s Movement who are now retired or nearing retirement and are angry at their daughters for being homemakers. Basically saying, I blazed this trail for you why aren’t you following it?
I had a long talk with my Dad, just this past weekend, about how difficult it was to find a good woman. I'm sure it's not an uncommon complaint, dating back generations (Og look! He no find woman for cave!) ... but I think it's harder for my generation, and those going forward, specifically because of feminism.
Lots of women, like this author, are being told from birth that not only they can but they should compete with men. Constantly, and on the same playing fields.
The reality is that they can't compete on even terms. And additionally - the reality is that men and women both can be *very* successful, just by not competing against each other, and by keeping their playing fields separate.
For instance, I'm an excellent Dad, but I'm a terrible mother. I recognize that, found an excellent mother for my kids, and stick with what I'm good at. However..... Feminism dictates that women can be either father or mother (or both, if they'd like) equally well. Unfortunately reality intrudes and (with some exceptions) women find out that they're terrible subsitutes for fathers, with predictable results being played out right now on society and the family structure that is society's bedrock.
There is nothing more important than being a wife and mother - and in that order. I pity the poor person who wrote this article that she will probably never know real love in her life and that she’ll likely die alone in a nursing home with no one around to care that she’s dying.
No one could seem to come up with an understanding of why she was doing this. Or it was too politically incorrect to state what was so clear and obvious.
She’ll get the “slow code blue”...
or, more likely, she’ll just be euthanized when her Obamacare allotment gets used up.
Post-abortion trauma.
Yeah, backpacking solo through Asia is a notable achievement but I notice she neither named the Asian countries nor suggested Africa or South/Latin America. Life is precious and should not be thrown away without good reason.
Doesn't this guy deserve some?
I didn’t give my kids that experience, but when I see them making choices based on a strong character, I know I’ve succeeded. (happy face)
Everybody’s such a stickler these days!
;^)
I bought and rented out mobile homes. And I mostly work from home, yes. I knew what you meant by “fantastic” and I thank you for the enthusiastic cheering! :D
ha. Me either, at least not yet, and the future ain't looking real good. :-)
But you obviously saw my point. There's nothing more satisfying than working hard on your kids (it's harder than anything I've ever done in the workplace) and seeing all that labor bear fruit.
Why someone would choose a workplace over family, frankly, is beyond me. Maybe because they don't know how fulfilling a successful family is.
Voluntary Human Extinction Society.
Didn’t Stanley Anne Dunham backpack through Asia working on her Masters while abandoning young Barack to the likes of the bisexual pervert and communist Frank Marshal Davis?
Imagine, to this lady, that would have been a very proud accomplishment.
And the mere thought of that for ANYONE makes me very very sad.
I don’t want a lonely fate like that for anyone. It tears my heart out.
:-(
Doing laundry? Maybe not.
But raising your replacements is.
"Voluntary Human Extinction Movement" notwithstanding.
“wow. somebody is awfully bitter! dayuuuuum.”
Imagine her 80 years old and alone; in the nicer nursing home she can now afford with the choices she made.
Sad....
No family; no grandkids...
