I am in the process of getting 3 done to replace the 4 lower fronts that were removed due to bone loss. I should have had those wisdom teeth removed 30 years ago it seems.

Anyway, implants (titanium posts set in bone to mount crowns on. Titanium fuses well with bone) are the best option for permanence. A bridge type of tooth is removable and relies on two surrounding teeth for stability. Over time they need replacement as teeth shift in the mouth...if they shift...so it can be as expensive as an implant. So it depends on your age. A younger person would be best served by implants and crowns. An older person may want to opt for the bridge type of appliance.

Just relaying what I know from my dental surgeon.

Friend had implants in her late fifties early sixties. All needed to be removed at 75. docs said they had about a 15 year lifespan.
