Sooner or later laying down with dogs will get you covered with fleas, ask Notre Dame

I take no joy in being able to say “I told you so”, to Father John Jenkins the president of Notre Dame University. Father Jenkins was an original cheerleader for Barack Obama virtually from the first day of his first term. Notre Dame, its faculty and student body were absolutely beguiled by Obama. Jenkins invited him to speak at the university’s 2009 commencement ceremonies. At the time Father Jenkins and his faculty hid behind the fact that they have a tradition of inviting a newly elected president to be their graduation day speaker, but that just didn’t wash. Tradition aside Jenkins gave Obama an honorary Law degree, something that was well beyond what was necessary. The fact that Obama lusts for the blood of innocent babies through his love of abortion, meant nothing to Notre Dame then. The fact that Barack Obama sponsored a bill to murder innocent miracle abortion survivors...

I realize this is of little consequence to Notre Dame.
But I was considering taking a PhD there, as ND has at least one professor who is expert in (or rather, near to) an area of study I’d like to pursue. When ND bestowed an honorary doctorate on a man whose only known legislative “accomplishment” was a bill legalizing the murder of children after they are born (if last-minute abortions failed to do the job just beforehand).... when ND did that, I nearly vomited. Needless to say, I did not sign up for that degree, either.

You’re very kind. I’m sure ND is not hurting for lack of little old me. But since my interest was theological perhaps I felt the sting a bit more than the average potential student. I could abide any Catholic, Protestant, or Jewish college that respects it’s Biblical tradition. I could also abide a secular college that deals with the material honestly if also critically. But to be frank I vomited when I saw ND, a supposedly Catholic school, honoring a person who ( indeed in his only known legislative deed) “ legitimized” killing babies. Immense Hypocrisy. Too important a violation of Biblical law. Way too much to stand. The ancient Greeks threw unwanted babies off a cliff. Here, They just get tossed in the garbage can? I can read on my own. Admittedly this deprives me of the expert guidance of a doctoral supervisor and committee. A serious loss. But so be it. And perhaps someday I will find another school. There are perhaps a dozen experts I’d appreciate help from. At several colleges. I just can’t travel now is all. So I keep reading on my own and perhaps so dewy I can make a connection with someone who can supervise my efforts via this great internet technology. We will see. Thanks again.
