When I read that some freeper is now a "proud registered Independent" it's like someone waving a red flag in front of me.

In many states, this "proud registered Independent" won't be able to vote for a true conservative candidate in his state's primary....therefore, he's now politically emasculated.

Crowing about it also leads other unthinking or politically-naive folks to follow suit, only to discover to their surprise at the polling place that they will not be allowed to vote for a Ted Cruz or a Sarah Palin or a Mike Lee.

The next election is the most critical in our nation's history. Primary elections will tell the tale. We have to play with the cards dealt us at the moment.

To those who advocate re-registering as "independent", please take your self-defeating, narcissistic advice to an "independent" web site where you can crow about your superior intellect and remarkable "independence" to a host of other losers, drop-outs and political castrati....all of whom will be politically impotent in the next election except, maybe, as catastrophic spoilers.

Those who find the RINOs like Boner, Linda Graham, Cantor, Ryan, et al. in Congress repugnant and those who registered as Independent in protest, can re-register now so they can join us in retaking our country in 2014 and 2016.

Could not have said it better...

Being a rock ribbed constitutional conservative, I realize we are a small percent of the population...probably about 20 % or less of the total population...

Last time I looked 20 % of the voters don't determine elections results...

I don't like it, but we will in many cases get "stuck" with less than desirable candidate, since the "party" will run the candidate who has the best chance of winning...Winning is important, isn't it...?

Do I want to see a Christie instead of a Hillary win in 2016...Hummm. Yea...Don't like it, but it's reality...

At least Christie isn't a died in the wool socialist...Is he perfect, far from it...but with a Hillary candidate...our slide down the slope will only get faster...

For these who say, a crash and burn is long term a better result than voting Rino, I'd see you in Obamaville...in your town...

Leni.....You are exactly right and many don’t realize the implications of not being able to vote in a primary election.
I have decided stay and work within the GOP to support candidates that reflect my conservative values.
