Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos suffered a kidney stone attack while in Ecuador's Galapagos Islands and had to be airlifted by an Ecuadorian navy helicopter to his personal jet, then flown to the US for surgery, according to ABC News. Bezos is said to have suffered the attack on January 1st aboard a cruise ship, according to local media outlet Galapagos Digital. The helicopter's pilot was quoted by another Spanish-language outlet, El Comercio, as saying he received messages of thanks from Bezo's family and business partners. We've reached out to Amazon for comment on the situation and will update as we learn more.
Bezos confirmed the incident today, with an Amazon spokesperson providing the following statement to Business Insider: "I sent Jeff your note and here's what he sent back: 'Galapagos: five stars. Kidney stones: zero stars.'
I was merely trying to say that if the guy happened to have been a rural fisherman busting a kidney in his leased skiff, he wouldn’t have gotten the same treatment that Bezos did.
OMG. Yes, as I’ve mentioned in an earlier post on this thread, passing a kidney stone is considered by some to be more agonizing than giving birth.

“I pity any poor fool that gets the stones”
I passed one stone two years ago (my one and only). It was the size of a shirt button. Took me eight months to pass it. Dr. told me I’m now labeled a “producer.” Hope this helps all my fellow “producers”..........
Take a water bottle and sip one large gulp after opening the bottle. Now replace the missing liquid with liquid lemon juice to the top. (Any lemon juice will do) Bottle should be full again. Add one packet of sugar (or splenda etc). Shake the bottle up. Drink two of these per day. I have never produced another stone and have no symptoms. Hope this is helpful.
nhl have the ballistic boot covers nowadays. not all players wear them.
I had a kidney stone attack on Oct. 4. It’s the WORST pain EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
Thanks very much for your timely input.
And it was when I understood what a drug addict must feel when they need their fix. Because it was my first time on morphine...and that was like having GOD touch my back and heal it. At least for a while.
Thanks for that...
A very accurate statement from someone who had only one and God willing the ONLY one I ever get!
I’ve had Gout, kidney stones, Bone spurs on my feet, and muscle spasms in my upper back.
I think they all sucked but the gout attack & kidney stones both hurt more.
4 times here....the first time the stone was so large they had to go up and pull it out ( I will you all to guess how that happened but it was quite awful). It was the size of my thumbnail.
Drink lots of water.....stay away from the caffine.
The last one I got involved the hose, and a stent. They sent me home without pain meds for three weeks! Almost sued the bastard...
Lithotripsy is the way to go...
I am a male.....had the hose and a cath for a few days.
It was too big for the sonic blasting so they sent this basket thingy and pulled it out.
No. I didn’t mean to imply that there was someting wrong with your post. I was referring to how silly it is that the media makes a fuss over the fact that Jeff Bezos has kidney stones. Who cares?
Slow news day......I guess human interest stories are good filler/
