Members of the militant homosexual movement are in the process of overplaying their eternally-losing hand. Yes, they hold a losing hand, regardless of how many judicial fiat or tyrannical legislative "victories" they are handed against the will of the people, because their foundation, which is based on prideful sin, is fatally flawed and will not prevail in the end, nor will it ever be widely accepted by the American people, no matter how many faulty laws are passed to affirm it.
Americans are fed up with being bullied by this militant minority of sexual deviants who are viciously demanding that society accept, condone and even celebrate their unnatural, unhealthy and immoral behavior. The latest high-profile example, which you have no doubt heard all about by now, is the assault on Phil Robertson of the hugely popular Duck Dynasty television show on Arts and Entertainment Network (A&E).
While I have never seen it, I am aware that the show, featuring the devoutly Christian Robertson family, has broken all-time records for cable television viewing, right up there with the zombie series, The Walking Dead. But, when family father Phil Robertson expressed his Bible-based views on homosexuality in an interview with GQ Magazine's irreverent Drew Magary, A&E executives instantly bowed to their fear of the militant homosexual movement's hissy fit backlash and fired him from the show. What did Mr. Robertson say that drew the ire of homosexual advocacy groups? Just this:
"It seems like, to me, a vagina as a man would be more desirable than a man's anus. That's just me. I'm just thinking: There's more there! She's got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I'm saying? But hey, sin: It's not logical, my man. It's just not logical."
... "Everything is blurred on what's right and what's wrong," he says. "Sin becomes fine."
[Magary asks] What, in your mind, is sinful?
"Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men," he says. Then he paraphrases Corinthians: "Don't be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers they won't inherit the kingdom of God. Don't deceive yourself. It's not right."
Every word he said is true, but the militant homosexual activists despise hearing anyone tell the truth about homosexuality. So naturally, the organizations of "Big Gay," like the Human Rights Campaign and GLAAD, came out with their guns blazing against Mr. Robertson, and the A&E Network quickly caved. But, this time the homo-fascist bullying is being clearly seen by many millions more Americans than who have normally seen the numerous cases of homosexuals suing and harassing Christian bakers, photographers and others, and it's backfiring on the militant homosexual activists.
Mr. Robertson is also catching unholy heat for his comments about black people, which, like his comments on homosexuality, are being taken out of context and misinterpreted. Here's what he said:
"I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I'm with the blacks, because we're white trash. We're going across the field.... They're singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, 'I tell you what: These doggone white people' not a word!... Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues."
He is relating his own experience with blacks in the South. That's it. But, as usual, the Left rushes to over-think these things and mischaracterize the meaning of his words in order to serve their devilish agenda.
Well guess what! We're sick of it. And, this time, the militant homosexual activists have poked a hornet's nest of peace-loving Americans who have had it up to here with homosexual activists' bullying and demands for affirmation of their prideful sin. While I have often repeated the fact that we are all sinners, and we all need a Savior in Jesus Christ, the truth is that Jesus neither condones nor encourages anyone to remain in sin, much less to be "proud" of it. Neither does He tell us to keep our mouths shut about the moral rot that infects our culture, but rather, to expose it.
The moral rot we see in America today is a symptom of the cancer of our nation's soul brought about by a turning away from God, and if it is not checked, it will lead to complete tyranny in the United States. Why? Because a people who embrace all manner of sinful behavior, who choose lawlessness and license over self-control and personal responsibility, and who refuse to live in accordance with God's truth and morality, will be ruled by tyrants. We're well on our way there now.
This ordeal with Mr. Robertson is exposing the vicious underbelly of the radical homosexual movement to many millions more Americans than would normally see it. Homosexual activists have become accustomed to corporations and institutions quickly bowing at the altar of their misguided demands, but they are now seeing Americans rallying against them, and that's a good thing. The homosexual agenda and the God-given freedoms of the American people cannot coexist. One of them must give way. Either we choose freedom, or we will be shackled to "political correctness," which will stifle our freedom of speech, association and religion.
The support the Robertson family is receiving is stupendous, and I know it is a great blessing to them. The American people, by and large, love truth and hate injustice, and while A&E is certainly free to hire and fire whom it will, Americans can plainly see that A&E's decision to dump Mr. Robertson is based on unjust coercion by a vicious, vocal minority of sexual deviants, whose agenda will never be truly accepted by society, no matter how loudly the media, Hollywood and bogus laws declare otherwise. I applaud Phil Robertson and his family for putting themselves out there, boldly declaring the truth of God's Word and living it. They are shining stars in a universe of Godless darkness.
Thanks for your thoughts on the matter Gina. You hit the ball out of the park IMO.
Too many Christians have bought the leftist lie about separation of church and state. There can be no national religion endorsed by the state, but every American is free to vote according to his/her values.
The culture war is the most important battle for our nation, but too few understand that. If we remained a unified country with shared Judeo/Christian values regardless of our personal religious beliefs we would be in far better shape! We are no longer “one nation, indivisible” and that my FRiend is the beginning of the end. That is the culture war.
Another good article, Gina. A delight to read your stuff.
Thank you, Cyber Liberty! :-)
Many thanks to you, Rockinqsranch! :-)
You’re so very right, Volunbeer!
I can comment on the show— but more precisely on the Robertson clan as we are friends in LA, and around Thibodeux the sportsmans paradise. No surprise that in Louisiana the queers (who spend so much time in oral/anal infantile fixation behaviour and are forcing the rest of the world to accept this as "normal"-- it isn't) are concentrated at the END of the long river, the Mississippi (draining as it were, the a-hole of the center of the country). Deo Vindice.
Yes they have. But that is no surprise. The hate and loathing that is part and parcel of the homosexual community almost demands that no opportunity to attack Christians or anyone that stands up for morality or against sin..
What is more worrisome is the speed with which major corporations seem willing to cave in to the whining of the homosexuals and suspend people fire people pull products change things etc. That is what we need to watch and act against!
I might add “grossly” over represented.
You are assuming that the people who make those decisions aren't homosexuals themselves.
