The American Flag Daily: Plymouth Landing
The American Flag Daily ^ | December 21, 2013 | FlagBearer

Nearly 400 years ago, on this day in 1620, the Mayflower landed at what is today Plymouth, Massachusetts. They had first sighted land on November 9th, and had explored some areas of Cape Cod in November and December, but today is traditionally recognized as the colonist's first arrival and survey of the Plymouth area, where they would establish what would become the second successful English colony in what would eventually be the United States. Today we raise the Massachusetts flag to honor their arrival.

They were hardly the first.

The Pilgrims landed and fortunately found Squanto
of the Wampanoags, who had already
traveled across the Atlantic TWICE to their once,
and who taught them to plant corn with fish,
and other technologies,
... without which they would have died.

“”Shoot, if you must, this old gray head,
But spare your country’s flag,” she said.
A shade of sadness, a blush of shame,
Over the face of the leader came;
The nobler nature within him stirred
To life at that woman’s deed and word;
“Who touches a hair of yon gray head
Dies like a dog! March on!” he said.....”

They certainly picked a horrible time of year to make a trans-Atlantic crossing, and arrival time to coincide with the first day of a New England winter.

I’ll raise one to my 9th GGF, Stephen Hopkins. A personal friend of Squanto and negotiator with the Wampanoags.

It was his second trip to the new world having made the trip to Jamestown along with the original founders.

He definitely had a taste for adventure as well as mischief.

I also strongly believe that the east coast tribes were largely descended from the peoples of the Solutrean migration.

And they came to “advance the Christian Faith.” —How sad that Mass. seems first to betray that faith when it elected to change the law to accommodate the Reprobate setting in motion this present darkness with respect to “marriage”

Romney was a carpetbagger from Utah and Mexico.

The judge that suggested this, and that
carpetbagger Romney to break the Mass.
Constitution was an import from South Africa.

So, RomneyMarriage was not invented by anyone from
Massachusetts in any way.

Que va? did I say anything about Romney? I spoke of what I know — Mass. was the first State to violate Law and Reason by changing the Law.I named no names.If Romney had some hand in it he will answer when he stands before the honest Judge.

You are kidding, right?

Massachusetts NEVER changed the law.
The imposition of gay marriage (and ultimately polygamy)
was imposed by Willard “mitt” Romney to screw the
Clerks who refused to do it.
