Looking for some new mysteries to watch on Netflix or Amazon...preferably Brit, Swede, Danish or otherwise European(better actors)..but could be American if they are decent like Breaking Bad. I posted a request a while ago and many of you great Freeper friends responded with good suggestions. It turned out to be a fun thread.,,,a necessary distraction at this stressful time of year...from all things Obama, libs, Dems, progressives and dysfunctional families?
That would be House of Cards. My son loves it and I find it intolerable. Liberal as the day is long. Can’t take it.
Yes, love the dark character of Kurt Wallander. But I think I’ve watched all of them that are on NF.
A favorite in our house.
Did you watch the series Geron and if so, did you like it? Sounds interesting...
The English version is excellent
If you like Daniel Craig, both The Ice House and Dream House were great!
Yes, I really liked it. She had to borrow some other woman’s body to interact with people she had known. So that woman is part of the story too.
A lot of it is sad too. I hope your okay with sad parts.
I just got into Downton Abby- accidentally ran across a re-run on PBS. I was happy- and somewhat amazed to find I could watch ALL the episodes free from Amazon on my Kendle (if you have a ‘Prime’ account)
Bfl
Ripper Street.
CSI set in the post Jack the Ripper London. Watched the first season recently on Netflix. Not bad.
I had no idea that the Lillyhammer guy was one of Springsteen’s guitar players, Steven Van Zandt, until he opened his mouth about Obamacare last week.
Haven’t seen the new episodes yet, but Lillyhammer is worth a watching.
House of Cards was a British mini-series

as well as a netflix original series.
I beleive that would be the first season you just finished.
The second season only came out this month.
As soon as the second season came out I started watching it. I’m already done. Let me tell you what happens.........just kidding!
I hate laugh tracks.
Really? I guess I just assumed that netflix, like everyone else, only put them out one episode at a time. Binge watching, here I come.
I'll be in withdrawal until Season 7 airs in about 18 months. It will not have a happy ending, per my understanding of Kurt Sutter's interviews.
I also recommend Parts I & II of Atlas Shrugged. I took my copy of Part I over to a BIL's house a few weeks ago. He liked it so much that he downloaded Part II from Netflix.
Netflix puts things out a season at a time. The problem is you have to wait so long between seasons. I’m still waiting for the last season of breaking bad and the next season of sons of anarchy. There are new episodes of wicked attraction available.
Did you see, ‘Shall We Dance’?
Did you like it?
