BREAKING: NEW JERSEY ACTION SHUTTING DOWN OBAMA’S DEPORTATION QUOTA

Elizabeth, NJ – December 10th, 2013 During the week that Congress will close for 2013 without having passed an immigration reform bill, a group of Jersey residents locked themselves together in the street that serves as an entrance to the Elizabeth Detention Center (625 Evans St.) to protest the President’s deportation arbitrary quota policy and call on him to stop removals and expand deferred action instead. “We can’t let more families to be separated. We can’t wait for Congress. After what I saw my family go through I want to help other families that are in the same situation,” explains Rosa Santana, who migrated to the US after Hurricane Mitch hit her home country of Honduras and who’s aunt and uncle were deported. The action is the latest in a series of civil disobediences that have exposed the harm caused by current immigration policy and urged the President to act. In the midst of a pending snowstorm and on International Human Rights Day, they say they want to bring visibility to those in the Detention Center and to the people suffering from current policies like the Secure Communities deportation program. Without further executive action, the President will hit the record of 2,000,000 people deported in the near future. But participants say there is still time for Obama to turn his policies around. “We’re doing everything in our power to stop deportations,” says Carlos Canales of Casa Freehold. “We’re out here in the cold hoping I that President Obama’s heart softens, and understands that immigrants are here to work and help our families.”

that immigrants are here to work and help our families.”..I can point out The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has published their unemployment numbers for November 2013, stating the official unemployment rate fell to 7.0% from October’s figure of 7.3%. And, as of November 30, 2013, based on a separate monthly survey of “households,” there were 10.9 million unemployed persons.Americans already here are struggling to provide for their families. Unemployment benefits is it for 2 years ? I got laid off. in 80's.Texas gave 6 months unemployment after six months no further unemployment checks. Why is it illegals tend to think their families should come first and they will accept any immigration reform bill. They do not care what is in it or what it says just gimme ,gimme ,gimme worry about small print latter. .Highlight one woman says...She is participating in this action for her children, her family, and because she believes that "We are all brothers and sisters, children of god and deserve to live with dignity."..Funny we are only brothers and sisters on this side of the border. On Mexico's side no one is saying we are all brothers and sisters, children of god and deserve to live with dignity." I never see any Mexicans protest about anyone being deported. They want Obama to just sign a piece of paper allowing them to stay indefinitely .Think of it this way-- if Obama were to do this, but it would be only a policy not actual law. What comes next ,can Obama say, I don't like this law or that law therefore I shall pass another policy.I assume this group thinks harden criminals like drug cartels, smugglers, sex offenders, drunk drivers etc, etc, etc should not be deported either. They are part of not one more too... Should family members with family members locked up claim “we can’t let more families to be separated, just because the laws says we have too.

“we can’t let more families to be separated, just because the laws says we have too.”

Very simple, leave together. Can’t feel your pain, lady. You put yourself into this situation by breaking our laws in the first place.

“We’re out here in the cold hoping I that President Obama’s heart softens, and understands that immigrants are here to work and help our families.”

Anybody know what the hell Carlos is talking about? Help whose families? Shouldn't the "immigrants" be petitioning their own governments for help? What the hell is wrong with them going to the Mexican government to demand jobs, free tuition, "discrimination" lawsuits, healthcare, freebies and handouts?

That whole "nation of laws" thing is so 18th Century. Thank God (well, not really Him, because it's not fashionable to believe in a deity any more) that we have enlightened leaders that make the laws up as they go so that the poor of nations around the world can come here illegally and benefit from the wealth of America, no matter what the actual written statutes say.

This all begs the question - what do we do when some of our elected officials refuse to obey the law, and the rest of them refuse to make those officials obey the law? Then what?

It's a rhetorical question, for you NSA types.

In related news, activists have also ended jailing of armed robbers, house break-in burglars, rapists and knockout “artists” since hailing the miscreants will separate them from their families.

Yes, it is the same.

Could it be in way,Mex Prez smarter than Obama ? Mexico sends all their poor and undirseables here and Obama embraces them and claims we need them.Mex Gov knows how to take care of their problems.Obama allows illegals here to let states give drivers licenses, work permits, you know the rest..

Obama claims to have deported 2 million illegals in 5 years, but illegal supporters claim we can’t deport 12 million illegals? They’re both lying.

Did you notice when AZ & Alabama stated they were cracking down on illegal aliens, that illegals started self deporting and it didn’t cost us any money. Enforce the laws they will self deport. IT worked well enough in above states that Obama filed lawsuits to stop it. IF we had AZ-Al law in all our states, illegals would self deport .When the laws are enforced ,illegals take off

That would/will be the logical conclusion. Laws will be superceded by family “togetherness” considerations. And what exactly constitutes a family will be open to interpretation.

The country has gone stark raving mad. Totally mad.

They picked a bad day to lock themselves together in the street. It snowed today in Elizabeth. Not much more than an inch or 2, but it’s still cold & wet.

From Katie Pavlich ..According to a new Rasmussen Report, the majority of Americans do not believe the deportation of illegal immigrants living in the United States is aggressive enough.

More than 20 House Democrats last week urged President Obama to halt the deportation of illegal immigrants until Congress passes a comprehensive immigration reform plan, but voters by a two-to-one margin oppose that idea. Most already think the federal government is not vigilant enough in deporting those who are in this country illegally.

Only 29% of Likely U.S. Voters think the government should stop deporting illegal immigrants until Congress passes an immigration reform plan. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 57% oppose a halt to deportations. Fourteen percent (14%) are undecided.

Sixty percent (60%) believe the U.S. government is not aggressive enough now in deporting illegal immigrants. Fourteen percent (14%) say it is too aggressive, while 16% think the number of deportations is about right.

Further, a majority of Americans want a secure border before any kind of path to citizenship is granted for millions of illegal immigrants already living in the United States.

Just 19% of voters believe that those who are not in this country illegally should be granted legal status right away. Sixty-four percent (64%) say legalization should come only after the border is secured. Seventeen percent (17%) are not sure.

Americans believe federal government policies encourage illegal immigration instead of discouraging it. Over the past three decades, we’ve seen a catch and release policy being used to briefly detain illegal immigrants after a crime before being released. It is only after illegal immigrants commit a serious felony causing major bodily harm, injury or death to an American are they finally deported back to their home country. As a result of a porous border, these criminals often come back into the United States without detection.

Congress is expected to take up the issue of immigration reform early next year.Katie tells it like it is.Straight Forward And To The Point.http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2013/12/10/majority-of-americans-believe-deportation-of-illegals-not-enforced-enough-n1760671...

The country is quickly being destroyed by a toxic stew of unchecked immigration, reckless spending, a lawless power grab by big government progressives, and national moral decline.

We are stuck in liberal quicksand.

After 9/11, Bush had a great opportunity to secure the borders. Instead he let another 10+million in.

Obama, rotten as he is, only shares part of the blame.
