Obamaland: Where Americans are now "folks" and the American Bald Eagle is collateral damage
December 7, 2013 | vanity

How many have noticed that we're now referred to as "folks" and not as Americans?

The latest assault on America: Obama has decreed it's okay for our national bird, the American Bald Eagle, to be killed by "green" energy windmills.

Liberty and freedom are collateral damage, cynically symbolized by the fate of the American Bald Eagle, to those marching us down the road to serfdom.

Yes.

I’m glad that you included our eagle, I almost posted a vanity on that today, I’m glad that you did it.

I read “folks” to mean generic human - a global person.

Being American is being fazed out.

As far as I can tell not one Bald Eagle has been killed by Coal Powered electrical generators.

Americans find work digging out the coal, shipping it, and using it to make power for America.

The Chinese built the Windmills. Their output is nothing compared to the output of a coal powered electrical plant.
“Folks” that live around them cannot sleep and are tired of looking at the ugly things blighting our countryside.

They were built as a stop to Global Warming, and we are in a cooling stage. That Of course is being ignored by those getting rich off the Global warming Scam. To me it will be fun seeing how long these windmills last. I doubt they will be turning ten years from now as weather and maintenance problems mount up.

Meantime we are destroying a system that works now and has been working for a hundred years. Putting people out of, work. Destroying their way of life.

Another great plan by the dipstick in the WH.

Yes!

The "bombs" meant to destroy our country continue to fall.

Just a passing thought, I wonder how clean those coal powered plants would be if we had taken the money we pissed away in windmills to clean and filter the coal powered plants.

It's all part of de-developing of America. "The Obama administration's top science and technology official, who has argued for the economic de-development of America, warned science students last Friday (2010) that the United States cannot expect to be "number one" forever."

From “Americans” to just “folks” -

I say the change is intentional.

Obama and his loopy Administration reek of communism in everything they do - the anti-rich rhetoric, the race wars, rising taxes, “you didn’t build that”, and now the de-emphasis of national history.

And the media goes along like an eager little puppy at his heels.

(Sept 20, 2013) EPA’s Disingenuous Power Plant Regulation "Today, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released their new decree on carbon dioxide emissions from coal and natural gas-fired power plants. This edict may be the most disingenuous regulation of all time. The administration claims that they have a moral imperative to “act on climate change,” but then released a regulation which they admit will not affect climate change in any way. Their moral imperative is an immoral assault against America’s working men and women and will only serve to drive up energy costs and make the U.S. more uncompetitive..................

.......This new regulation imposes a limit on the carbon dioxide emissions from new coal and natural gas-fired power plants. For coal-fired power plants, EPA limits the carbon dioxide emissions to 1,100 pounds per megawatt-hour and for natural gas power plants to 1,000 pounds per megawatt hour. Currently, the average coal-fired power plant emits 1,768 pounds per megawatt hour and natural gas power plants emit 800 to 850 pounds per megawatt hour.

This regulation is impossible for coal-fired power plants to meet without using expensive and unreliable technologies to capture the carbon dioxide emissions. This is really a ban on new coal-fired power plants.

The EPA administrator claims that, “Clearly the technology is available. It’s been fully demonstrated.” This is not true. EPA cannot point to a single power plant that is operating successfully with this technology, despite billions of dollars of federal subsidies spent on these technologies. Instead, EPA points to two power plants that are currently under construction, Southern Company’s Kemper County Energy Facility, SaskPower’s Boundary Dam CCS Project and two additional power plants that are still in the planning phase, Texas Clean Energy Project, and Hydrogen Energy California, LLC. All of these projects have received hundreds of millions in subsidies..............

.....Today’s announcement may be the most disingenuous regulation of all time. President Obama called for action on climate change and EPA answered with a regulation which it admits would do nothing. Furthermore, it is telling that despite EPA’s claims that the necessarily technology to capture carbon dioxide is “fully demonstrated,” the only plants EPA points to are ones that have received hundreds of millions of dollars in subsidies but aren’t yet operating and two that are still on the drawing board.

The reality is that this regulation is designed to increase the price of electricity and increase federal control over coal and natural gas power plants. If EPA can get away with this regulation, they can essentially ban not only new coal-fired power plants, but existing natural gas and coal-fired power plants as well. When bills go up, jobs go offshore and lights go off, Americans should know who to blame."

America is NOT odumbo’s land and it is high time we, those of us who still love this country, rise up and show the S.O.B. who owns this place. It damn sure isn’t him.

This should be written as" Americans voice opinions about EPA coal regulations."

Folks voice opinions about EPA coal regulations - PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - On Friday, National Miners Day, folks in Eastern Kentucky joined forces to voice opinions about Environmental Protection Agency regulations on coal-fired plants.

They say it is a war on coal.

"We live in a country that the government is supposed to be afraid of us, not us afraid of the government!" said Howard Abshire, 5th generation coal miner....."

If I rescue a bald eagle, I'd be "interfering with wildlife".
If I put up my own wind powered generator I'd probably be liable for any bird deaths but commercial farms are exempt.
Another example of one rule for gov't and their favorites and another set of rules for the "folks".
