The entire resurrection of the Arafat poisoned by Polonium-210 story is complete junk science. I’ve said it before at Israellycool but lets expand on it.
The story so far: Nine years ago, on November 11, 2004, Yasser Arafat died. That he could have died from natural causes or some “lifestyle disease” was too unpalatable for his followers so they came up with a rather bizarre theory that he was poisoned with Polonium-210. After decomposing in Ramallah for eight years his wife and followers dug up his corpse to try to prove it.

With the most amazing measuring equipment, in the most physically shielded room possible, you couldn’t find a piece of radioactive Polonium-210 eight years after it was made. Looking for some in an exhumed body or belongs is astonishing.
The decay products of Polonium-210 are not uncommon enough to look for either.
There’s no way on earth this lab found anything scientifically significant in the corpse of Arafat (hence their very cagy language).
Arafat died of natural causes, Aids or something else: releasing an unedited version of his medical records would go a long way to solving this little mystery. Certainly that would do more than a pseudo-sicence dance in Switzerland. No matter what his widow and his adoring terrorist friends would like to think.

The half-life of Po-210 is 138 days. It’s a natural product of radon decay. Taking the amount they found NOW, and backing that out nine years (23 half-lives), there would have been so much polonium around him nobody in the room would have survived. Certainly the people who prepared the body for burial would have been severely poisoned.
But, he was a world leader, so nothing could possibly be his fault. Everything must happen because of someone else, even a school bus rocket attack or two.
The MSM is reporting this as credible! WHY? I know they’re shills for whomever, but who really cares?! The low-info voter?...I think not! The only reason I can think is that they cannot help themselves from trying anyway possible to Jew-bash.

Depends on how much you started with. If you start with a billion Becqurel, after nine years you’d have 60 or so Bq left, that’s 60 disintegrations per second, which is measurable with a good counting system. It’s a few handfuls of atoms. The problem is the statistics, to distinguish that from the natural background.
Matters not, as there is no conspiracy theory so implausible and bizarre that the bulk of the Arab community will not buy into it.

Tom Clancy told a tale in one of his books (Sum of all Fears?) of nuclear physicists trying to get their publications about nuclear explosions past the government censors by saying “Consider a neutron star with a flux density of ‘large number’ of neutrons per cubic centimeter ...” (or something like that).
Got past the censors just fine.
Except that anyone who knew anything about neutron stars (a group of people who do not include me) knew that the neutron density inside a neutron star was nowhere near that high, therefore, it must have been an H-bomb going off.
OK, the article states that 900 mBq was found in one rib.
Back that up nine years from today and you get 12.7 million Bq, just in one rib. I did not correct for an unknown background or radon infiltration. Still, for him to have had 12 MBq in just one bone, the total amount in and around his person back then would have wreaked havoc among anyone around him. The math makes the claims of poisoning absurd.
