High Deductibles Chase the Middle Class from Health Services "In a recent conversation, a good buddy enraged by his new private insurance premiums and $5,800-per-year deductible said something that struck me as undoubtedly prophetic.

"I'd literally need to be dying before I would start paying this ridiculous deductible for routine care."

Under ObamaCare, those who work for a living incur massive premium and deductible increases to subsidize those that cannot or will not provide their own insurance. In the universe of ObamaCare, unless you are among the privileged dependency class that enjoys free health care, gone are the days when cautionary calls can be made to the doctor because a child has a stomachache or bad cough, because such calls will cost you five hundred bucks or so.

As with so many utopian policies of the progressive Left, ObamaCare is rife with unintended consequences that inflict pernicious pain and damage on society............"

Well, in a country of 7 billion, that’s not really that many, is it? Oh, wait...

All part of the plan.

Surely no one among FreepeRs thinks for a moment that 0bama actually wanted the system to work the way he said it would work. That he actually wanted to provide good healthcare to us peasants.

Obama told us that you can “Have it your way,” but what he did was give us a Whopper.

129 million? I doubt in their wildest dreams they though it would be so successful in further bringing America down to the level where they can rule it.

I can hear the spin now from the progressives:

"We(our rulers) let the 'people' have the 'freedom' to 'choose' their health care plan under the ACA and almost none of them signed up. This goes to show that people will not do the 'right' thing on their own and in this case single payer is now the only option".

There is no way individual medical care, as existed into the 1980s when HMOs started, will ever recover. All of these initiatives are about public health, not about meeting individual differences.

For individuals, it';s going to be important to get good books about nutrition, symptoms and home cures, healthy lifestyle and first aid. Follow them and don't get sick. If one gets sick, it might be necessary to heal thyself.

Besides the immediate problems, research and innovation in medicine will disappear. With government mandates in place standardizing how every situation will be handled, there will be no profit motive for inventing new stuff.

We're all part of a collective now, not individuals. I'm buying those books...while they're still available.

Here's the newest LOL trial balloon:

"It is time for the president to admit that he was misled and failed to be adequately informed. It is clear that this is a clear case of false advertising. Not only should he admit he misinterpreted the preliminary data but other congressional democrats should too. Just like in 2010, democrats supporting the president put themselves at risk. Even when democrats had both houses, Obama rejected their proposals and went with his own ideas. Most democrats were for a single payer, not the Romney plan . Obama rejected their plan to appease republicans who later totally abandon him. There is no reason for congressional democrats to support this phase of this legislation when they never wanted it. Until the democrats stop rubber stamping deals worked out between the speaker and the far right ,they will never get more than lip service from Mr.Obama. The real price of this law is anything but affordable for many middle class families without a subsidy ."
