Please add me —21 year survivor. If it wasn’t for the great Cleveland Clinic, I would not be a working, TAX-PAYING survivor....and my care was totally private, not one red tax payer cent went into my treatment.
Reading about Oregon death panels in another thread. We’re going their friends....and much faster than i anticipated.

21 years?! Wow, congratulations. My husband completed an entire military career in that amount of time. 21 years really is a very big thing. That’s a lot of special moments. May God continue to bless you.

my wife is stage IV with breast cancer metastasized to the liver where there are many tumors, the largest the size of a hockey puck.
She is on COBRA with Kaiser through her former employer, and going through a 4th line of chemo (Xeloda), which seems to have stopped the growth and shrunk some of the tumors slightly. None of the previous lines worked other than the first one (clinical trial with paclitaxel + BKM120 or placebo) which worked very well for 3 months and then quickly collapsed.
