With just about a year until mid term elections, there will be many more politicians morphing and jumping ship to survive. Most voters are ignorant to what these guys do between elections, so that is a successful strategy, particularly since 0bamacare is a sinking ship. Of course the day after election day, these same guys go back to their REAL identities.

The West Virginians have never figured out what the rest of the southern states did, that the Democrats hate and despise them, and wish to destroy them. They truly need a prophet to lead them out of darkness.
Manchin isn’t up for re-election until 2017. He’s not used to taking heat. He wanted to invest state funds in the stock market. He’s basically a mob connected idiot. He’s got at least one skeleton in his closet that would piss off West Virginians. Unfortunately the Republicans in this state couldn’t find their ass with bot hands. Sad to say Joe will probably be re-elected in 2017.
During the final days of his campaign, didn’t that idiot even shoot a sign that had an 0bamacare on it, or was it something else?
He sounds like Juan McCain: tough talk /deeds during the election. But ... the day after the election he turns back into a squish.
Manchin's cousin is head of the Board of Education building fund or some such, his cousin is in the State House (originally appointed to replace his famous uncle upon death), and an in-law (hence part of "The Family") is a circuit judge here. Last November, we had 4 members of Manchin's family on the ballot simultaneously for different positions here in his home county.
What I don't get is how the faithful Democrat voters don't see that he and others of this time are not what they remember from 50 years ago? Time is already helping here as the FDR people cease voting, of course.

Manchin strikes me as very confused. When he’s interviewed, he seems to understand the issues well enough to draw good conclusions. But he’s a dem, and they demand loyalty. He’d probably be happier as a conservative Republican. JMHO
