On Piers Morgan Live Tuesday, guest Bill Maher openly admitted Obama lied about Americans keeping their insurance plans, but insisted that he had to because of unified Republican oppositionand the increasingly stupider American public.
Morgan trotted Maher on for a number of political issues, including the Obamacare meltdown and the most recent episode in the NSA scandal saga. Morgan opened by asking Maher if the scandal-failure-filled week was any worse than its always been? Maher said, in essence, yes:
Well, I think the country in general is on a decline.
Rather than citing the failure of the administration though, Mahers explained he believes the decline is a result of Americans getting stupider. In Mahers universe, this stupider population must be misled by politicians for its own good:
It sure is hard if youre a politiciannot that Im really that sympathetic to themto try to get information into peoples heads.
I dont think Obama shouldve lied to people-
To which Morgan interjected, It was a lie, wasn't it? But Maher continued, quickly parroting the insurance companies are always dropping people talking point, then returning to his original argument:
But, yeah, he probably shouldve not been so blatant about saying you ... iron clad guarantee. On the other hand, since he got no Republican votes and no Republican help. And since three years after its a law, theyre still fighting it, can you imagine what it would be like if he said, Yeah, some people, your rates are going to go up. I mean the thing passed by this much. If they had said that, they mightve lost the whole thing.
So, yeah, Obama lied, but the stupider Americans deserve to be lied to. Standard elitist governing tactics: manipulate and deceive in order to force onto the public what you know is best for them.

The great thing about liberals is that the most feral crack-addict ghetto um.....”resident”....has exactly the same opinion as the most highly educated holier-than-thou collegian. Cool, isn’t it? And they use just about the same arguments, though the college educated ones often have better diction and sentence construction skills and the like. Note that I didn’t say logic, nor reference to ‘speerience. Those things elude them.
So are the ghetto inhabitants really, really smart...or are the college educated ones really really stupid?
Enquiring minds don’t really give a s**t.

Bill Maher of FOX News: “Facts never get in the way of their talking points”
“When we didn’t use to have these kind of places where you could retreat to your ghettoization of thinking, public discourse was the better for it because you had to hear a conflicting idea. Now you don’t,” he said, before referencing the network on which he was appearing in his criticism. “CNN suffers for that to a degree because it tries to play it down the middle, and people generally want to hear what they already believe in.”
A well-known Democrat who supports the legalization of marijuana and same-sex marriage, Maher’s real issue is with the hyper-conservative FOX News network, which he suggested isn’t based in truth:
“Facts never get in the way of their talking points. And so for people who only listen to FOX News, they can wake up with Matt Drudge and have lunch with Rush Limbaugh and go to bed with Bill O’Reilly,” he explained, listing a trio of powerful Republican voices. “That’s all they’re going to know, is what they hear there. And very often these people do not care what the truth is.”

There was "unified Republican opposition"? Yes. In passing Obamacare, there was only one Republican vote for it in the House (a one-term rep from Louisiana) and zero Republican votes for it in the Senate. That's pretty unified, IMHO.

On August 24, 2009, Maher was a guest on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. On the topic of getting health care reform legislation passed, Maher stated that Obama should forget about trying to get 60 votes for it, "he only needs 51." "Forget getting the sixty votes or sixty percent sixty percent of people don't believe in evolution in this country he just needs to drag them to it, like I said, they're stupid; get health care done, with or without them."
Maher has expressed the view that most illness is generally the result of poor diet and lack of exercise, and that medicine is often not the best way of addressing illness. In an episode of his show about the 2008 presidential candidates' health plans, Maher stated that poor nutrition is a primary cause of illness, and that "the answer isn't another pill." He also has said:" If you believe you need to take all the pills the pharmaceutical industry says you do, then you're already on drugs!"
Maher and Ingrid Newkirk, founder of PETA. Maher is on the board of directors of the animal rights group.
Speaking of crazy people...
"she feels the same way about humans -- their eradication would be an improvement to the universe: "Humans have grown like a cancer. We're the biggest blight on the face of the earth." "She is no less consistent when she discusses Ingrid Newkirk -- her horror of humanity extends to herself: "I am not a morose person, but I would rather not be here. I don't have any reverence for life, only for the entities themselves. I would rather see a blank space where I am. This will sound like fruitcake stuff again but at least I wouldn't be harming anything."

If you had been around to ask Trotsky (neither was I), he would have talked of many “ends” essential to the ultimate goal of a communist world government. The Russian revolution was a stepping stone on that path. Obamacare is an essential waypoint for the USA and it will lead to one payer healthcare.
Obama is a “professional revolutionary” like Lenin, who coined the term, and Trotsky. IMO, Obamacare must be implemented and must fail. Single payer is next and it will eliminate a huge swath of private enterprise.

So, yeah, Obama lied, but the stupider Americans deserve to be lied to. Ends justify the means
also for libtards:
1) paternalism premise (its for your own good)
2) tribal premise (its for the public good)
3) utilitarian premise (greatest happiness for the greatest number of people)
Combine them to make a rationale to justify might makes right for libtards.

The only reason he has a show is because there are some Americans who are dumb enough to watch it. Could you imagine what these two douchebags would be saying if G W Bush told blatant lies like this?

The “stupider” voters are the democrats’ base. Nice of Maher to point it out. But those “stupider” voters are too stupid to know he was talking about them.

I don’t have many regrets in life. But one major one is I regret not spitting in Maher’s face when I had the chance.

Boycott Time-Lies-Warner-Turner-CNN products until his ass is fired. Not over this comment but just on principle.
He claims that he has no sponsors. Except when he appears on Time-Warner-HBO and appears on CNN as a guest with commercial advertisers.
Defund the Left. Boycott Hollywood.
