I cant tell exactly when Marylands health benefit exchange posted its new numbers, but it appears to be no earlier than late this afternoon perfect timing...

Almost everyone is signing up for medicade and only small percentages for private health care policies. There’s no way this can work. NY, KY and WA all very similar.
96% is beyond disaster.
Obamacare, seemingly, has evaporated. It doesn’t exist. All this turned out to be was an massive, unsustainable expansion to Medicaid.
That’s right, America. No improvements to you. No ‘affordable’ healthcare. Your new mega-premiums now fund the FSA (Free Sh&t Army)
Just remember that in 2014, Louisiana.
What happens to the exchanges if nobody signs up to pay for the insurance? Also for the regular insurance companies? Are they going to go bankrupt?
Cloward-Piven
This is getting comical. The Repubs should just stand aside and let this mess collapse onto itself.
Thanks to those 37(?) states that haven’t subjected themselves to this massive new expenditure.
Those states that signed up for Medicaid expansion will be shortly discovering the unpleasantness of an unplanned sexual encounter with the Federal Government .... yep, when the Federals reduce their share from 100% to a significantly lower percentage by refusing to reimburse much of the costs incurred by the states. Medicaid rules are unilaterally favorable to the Federals and the states will get stuck with the bill.
Let’s see what the media does with this. They’re going to have a hard time. Obamacare is supposed to be self paying...i.e., does not need additional government funding....which is a crock.
Why Medicaid? I mean, is this something new? Are more people eligible than used to be?
A very large crock, indeed.
The most recent report by the GAO says that Obamacare will add $6.2 TRILLION to the deficit over the next ten years.
And, as we all know, that's probably a conservative estimate...
Why Medicaid? I mean, is this something new? Are more people eligible than used to be?
+++++++
Yes, in some states but not in all. What they did was raise the income test from something like 18K to about $23K. That makes a lot more people eligible for “free healthcare”.
don’t worry they sodomites with AIDS are lining up around the block to get insurance through the Obamacare exchanges, since their healthcare costs run in the millions.
Obamacare forces states to cover the poorest of the uninsured or risk losing federal funding.
The only thing conservative about liberals is their cost estimates for their goofy projects.
If 1 guy is in the exchange and he pays $2,000 in premiums and uses $50,000 in services; his premium next year is >$50,000.
A third of those who didn’t have insurance to begin with and for whom this whole fiasco was undertaken were eligible for Medicaid but hadn’t bothered to sign up - would have taken time away from doing dope and sleeping, doncha know - between them and those newly eligible because of relaxed standards, the big influx to the rolls are probably going to be Medicaid all over - it would have saved billions of dollars and tens of thousands of pages of laws and regulations to simply sign these people up to begin with, and let the rest of those who didn’t have insurance, didn’t think they needed it, but could have purchased it had they wanted, simply pay their own way as needed....
